Owner description: A large aquarium filled with countless species of marine life.

A very expensive and underwhelming experience. 33 euro for 2 adults and a child, the indoor environment smelled sour and the information was illegible. Small and sad spaces for fish, I would not recommend this 20 minute max experience.

Thank alameday

Many thanks for taking the time to review our aquarium, I was very surprised with your comments about it not being value for money. The cost for 2 adults and up to 2 children is €32, your ticket is valid for the day so you can come and go as you please so you have the chance to see different feeding displays as well as keeper talks which take place during the day. We also have a kids zone area which is included in the price where the kids can get free face painting, watch puppet shows, interactive experiments as well as other interactive equipment and arts n crafts. Im not sure how you got through the aquarium in 20 minutes! There is now way you could see the thousands of marine life in our aquarium in that time, did you even see our baby penguin chick? We have staff place in the aquarium to answer any questions you wish to ask and there are information screens placed at each tank with lots of information on the habitats of the fish in the tanks as well as facts about them. The health and welfare of our fish is of utmost importance to us and we adhere to strict EU and Irish directives with regards the size of tanks etc, there is a Zoo licencing process which we go through on a yearly basis to make sure we are doing the best for our marine life.
Again I appreciate your comments.

Kind regards
Máire O Shea

Comparing this to other aquariums, it was a bit disappointing. But it had a play area with puppet shows and free face painting that the kids enjoyed. If there is a rainy day, this would be a good activity.

We visited during our recent stay in Dingle and very much enjoyed it. There are plenty of fish to look at from all around the world. We especially enjoyed the penguin feeding and the shark tank. The admission of €16 per adult seemed pricey at the start but it was totally worth it and you get a stamp on your hand that will allow you to enter as many times as you like on the same day.

The kids had a wonderful time. Easily a half day of fun and a lovely town to walk around. Would definitely visit again.
