A very nice, newish building, big rooms, good service and breakfast, and only a five-minute walk or so into "downtown" Dingle. This place was great for our extended family, one of our best lodging choices for a two-week trip that led us from Lahinch to Dingle to Kilkenny to Dublin and Northern Ireland. Highly recommend.

I treated my husband to a stay at Emlach House in August and we were absolutely delighted with this beautiful Irish stately home. We received a wonderful warm welcome from Grainne who gave us lots of very helpful information about the area including where to find the best Irish music in the local pubs in Dingle. Even though it was summer they had the fire lit which gave a lovely welcoming atmosphere to the house. In the drawing room, they had delicious home made cake which guests were free to enjoy along with tea and coffee at no extra charge. Menus from what they and former guests deemed to to be the best restaurants in town were also made available, which made choosing a restaurant easy! We chose 'Out of Blue' which was rustic but had amazing seafood! Our room didn't disappoint! It was absolutely gorgeous and tastefully renovated with a four poster bed, quality bed linen and views over Dingle Bay. Oh and the breakfastwas a total treat and a feast! It read as a three course menu and everything was cooked to order. Also included were homemade scones, brown bread etc. The order was taken and served by a delightful and very elegant lady, which totally added to the whole experience of being somewhere very special. We expected to pay extra for the gourmet breakfast but we were pleasantly surprised to find that it was all included :-). If this was not enough, Marion surprised us with a chilled bottle of Taittinger Champagne, on the evening of our arrival, to congratulate us on our recent wedding - something which I had only barely mentioned during my phone booking conversation! What a wonderful family and a fabulous place :-).
P.S. The hotel is just a 5 minute walk to the town centre and so it is perfectly located!

Room Tip: All rooms in this hotel are gorgeous.

Of our two weeks (3 countries, 6 locations) in Europe this was by far the best service we had and we stayed in 3 five star resorts in London, Paris and Ireland which were much more expensive. The accommodations and breakfast were lovely (beds a little firm for us but this seems to be common in Europe) but it was really the service that set this place apart. We were tired when we walked in and before I knew what was happening a very lovely lady was welcoming us and taking the garbage out of my hands to dispose of. We had a short nap (10 days and 3 countries in to vacation at this point) and freshened up and then the lovely lady came through again with squeezing us into a wonderful restaurant a short walk away (the Chart House - amazing dinner) even though town was busy. Our only regret was that we couldn't have stayed here longer!

We stayed at the Emlagh House in Dingle and couldn't have made a better choice. The room was very clean, large, and comfortable. The location was perfect to walk the town and the breakfast was very good. Dingle was a great visit and we are glad we chose the Emlagh House for our stay.

The Dingle peninsula is my favorite place to visit in Ireland, and now I have a strong favorite B&B, Emlagh House! There just aren't enough superlatives to describe this place. We had a huge and beautiful room with a private patio. Marian, our hostess, and her lovely daughters, were exceedingly gracious and helpful - even helping us practice our few Gaelic words. Breakfast was the very, very best we had on our trip. The location is ideal for exploring the Dingle peninsula. Dingle town is a perfect tourist town with lots of shops, restaurants and pubs.

Room Tip: Ask for the room with a patio if available!

Wonderful.
Bose radio in the bedroom.
Freshly squeezed OJ in the morning
with marvelous breakfast, (a relief actually
not to be confronted with the buffet for a change..)
Great bathrooms with separate
shower and bath, not very common
these days. Welcoming fire, tea and delicious
coffee cake on arrival....All staff gracious and
helpful...what else can I say?

Room Tip: Wild Orchid is one of the less expensive but it is a lovely cosy room.

We were truly fortunate to get a room as we were travelling without a reservation. If and when we return to the Dingle area, we will be certain to have our room (Iris) reserved. The greeting, the ambiance, the assistance with dinner reservations, etc. Our hosts could not have done more to make our stay perfect.
I have one concern: The Emlagh house is for sale so hurry...I can not imaging someone duplicating the overall hospitality of this Mother/daughter combination.

Room Tip: The Iris is on the first floor and was large, bright, perfect in every regard.
