Situated across the small bay from Dingle, the views from the windows are spectacular. The lane (single track in places) past the cottage is quiet, an active farm is behind the neighboring hedge, its cows often grazing in the front meadow. The lane leads to Esk View/Tower and is well worth the stroll.
Book for the location, comfortable furniture and view, bear in mind that the upper suite is accessible by winding iron staircase.
The cottage itself is well appointed, with the exception (in our visit) of perhaps kitchen amenities (glasses, cutlery) and it is a challenge to actually cook a meal given kitchen open-plan size. The oven didn't seem to operate at more than 2 speeds either, and no direcions. The addition of washer/dryer is very welcome but no directions on how to operate it made that a frustration despite the assistance of Ms, Google. Internet very good.enjoy books and conversation as tv not really an option, but you'll be too happy listening to live music on your evenings! We could have called our hosts I'm sure to ask for help with the machines, but we really felt no need to bother them as we had a very comfortabl
Burnham Cottage was the perfect location for our family during our visit to Dingle. The house is clean, comfortable and well-equipped. The view from the backyard across the bay is stunning! The cottage is outside of town, but not so far as to be a problem.
In a beautiful location, with a short hike to Eask Tower nearby, the cottage overlooks Dingle Bay, only 10 minutes away from the town. Design is great, and separates sleeping spaces from well-appointed kitchen and living room.
All the advantages of a secluded spot and easy access to the bustling amenities of the town. Wonderful fresh fish available, both to cook yourself and to consume at Out of the Blue; great cheese shop; bakery.
We had a truly wonderful time staying at Burnham Cottage. The location was peaceful, the house was lovely, the owners so helpful and friendly and the views were absolutely gorgeous! Would happily go again! :-)
Everything you need and nothing that you don't.We had a wonderful stay at Burnham Cottage and will certainly be back as soon as possible.Comfortable, well thought out and in beautiful surroundings, and Joe and Siobhan are ideal and kindly landlords.
stayed for a week in September, great cottage with lots of space and garden, close to Dingle with a fantastic view, loved the peace & quiet, would visit again,
We stayed at Burnham cottage in June 2015 for 2 weeks. It's a gorgeous spot and the house is in great condition and well maintained and equipped. The garden was great and the views are fantastic. The owners were really helpful with any queries we had. I'd recommend this to family and friends for sure. We had a a wifi Dongle with us which worked fine in the area. For anyone travelling with young kids there is no bath but we solved that problem by buying a paddling pool which was fine for our 2 and half year old as the weather was great. With the stairs you need to be vigilant with any little ones too. Apart from that it's a little piece of heaven. You'll obviously need a car if staying there and it's a 10 minute drive to Dingle. Be careful on the approach road as there are some tight bends. But it's gorgeous.
