Attraction details
Owner description: The most thrilling way to see Dingle Bay; experience the outstanding natural beauty of the Dingle coastline, paired with an exciting speed boat blast approximately 6h round trip €55 euro pp. Departing daily at 11am from Dingle Marina (directly below the Tourist Office). Stopping on both legs of the tour to see Fungi, we cruise out of the harbour, increasing speeds to blast along the beautiful Dingle coastline taking a wide arch to give ourselves a better chance of spotting one of the many other whales, dolphins or porpoise and abundance of sea birds of Dingle bay. Reaching the Great Blasket Island we tour to the Northern shore which is a hotspot for Grey seal activity, the island is home to a large colony and we frequently see large numbers here. We then land our passengers for 3.5 to 4 hours where they can take a tour of the Village provided by the OPW and explore the many wonders the island has to offer. A complementary Tea/Coffee is provided for all our customers. On the return trip we take a wide arch off the island to give ourselves a good chance of spotting some wildlife again then cruise close to the coastline and explore the spectacular cliffs outside Dingle harbor. No Rush or time restraints for a personal easy going trip with a maximum capacity of 12 passengers. The 'Peig Sayers' Stormforce 11 is the flagship of the Redbay range, offering the best that RIBs can offer. She has a indoor 12 seater cabin for those who want to keep dry and warm. The Peig Sayers incorporates quality, speed, safety and comfort. You are not seeing the best of Ireland unless you catch it from the water. Our Speedboat Eco-Tour takes you from Dingle Harbour out and around the beautiful peninsula coastline. Feel the fresh Atlantic air on your face as you experience breathtaking views of the staggering cliffs, wildlife that is native to the Dingle shores.

“Best Adventure of Our Trip!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 July 2014

Our boat tour with Billy (the Capt'n) and his crew was easily the highlight of our trip to Ireland! My group agreed that our adventure was so special because of our joyful tour guides. They were very knowledgeable about everything; the sea, the wildlife, the geography, and the history of the area. They were safety-conscious, yet welcoming and laid-back. One member of my group put it best, "Yeah, they really gave us memories that will last a lifetime!"

“Very special day.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 July 2014

This will rank asone of the most memorable, special, days of my life. A group of 10 friends and family went with the very knowledgeable, personable Billy to the Great Blasket Island.just last week. From the moment we left Dingle, Billy allowed us to make our own of the day, asking us constantly what we wanted, how long we needed with each attraction, and caring for the comfort of each of our passengers. His knowledge of and passion for the area is infectious. We had such a wonderful day out on the island and afterwards, Billy brought us on a magical tour amongst the other little islands, right into the habitats of the seals and cormorants. Playing with Fungi on the way to and back was also a major hit with everybody. Spend the money and charter your own boat for an experience you and your family will never forget. Amazing photographs to cherish forever.

“Lovely trip to the unbelievable amazing Blasket Islands”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 July 2014

I have done the tour to the islands in June and it was absolutely wonderful. Billy collected us at the Dingle Harbour around 10:30am and we drove with the very comfortable speed boat to the islands. It took us maybe 40 minutes to the islands but on the way we stopped to see some whales. On the way Billy told us a lot about the islands, the mountains around, the wildlife in the sea and all the things we saw on the way to the islands. On the Blaskets we had 4,5 hours to explore the islands on our own. It is huge and lovely. Appart from other tourist places, it is so quiet and peaceful over there. Amazing views, lovely nature, sheep and donkey. A hostel and a Café invites the guests to stay. On the way back we saw 'Fungie' the famous Dingle dolphin, stopped for a while again and just saw him swimming and jumping around our boat. There was no rush or anything, and we really enjoyed it, Billy made the whole tour kind of private and really nice. The next time I will be in Dingle, I will definitely go again and I would recommend this tour to everyone.

“Dingle to Great Blasket Island with Minke Whales, Dolphins and Sea Birds along the way”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 July 2014

Fantastic day trip from Dingle Marina with Billy and crew .. don't miss it!
We left Dingle in beautiful weather and took a leisurely, comfortable hour in a lovely boat out to the Great Blasket taking time to look for and then watch some Minke Whales and Dolphins along the way. We really enjoyed the trip with Billy and Alice - really friendly people who are genuinely interested that their guests have a really good nature experience. We walked the length of the island and back in ca. 3.5h and then enjoyed great coffee, scones and jam served up by Killian from their Accommodation and Cafe in one of the island houses. We then looked around the remaining dwellings on the island before heading back to Dingle. Billy was in no hurry and stopped for as long as we wanted to watch Fungi coming and going at the mouth of Dingle Harbour.
A memorable day that we'd highly recommend as one of those really special memories of a holiday to this beautiful part of Ireland
