Not the longest walk in the world but possibly one of the more spectacular. Ideal for an early evening stroll. Fantastic views down from the cliff tops, some nice gentle gradients and very well sign posted. Possibly too well in places...in some places it was a bit 'Hansel and Gretel'!! But presumably if mist descended then you'll be very glad of the guidance! Considering it's one of only 2 signed loop walks in co Mayo, then you'd be mad not to do this walk.

We only did part of this walk because it was getting late. We thought we would drive right out to the head, didn't realise that there was a walk! The views were fabulous. We had a great laugh watching the sheep chasing each other and having a bit of a fight!

What's not to like, this is a bog walk where you stay dry along a path, get tons of fresh sea air and get to see great seaviews of Erris head and listen to the sound of the sea, just what the doctor ordered

This is a very pleasant short walk around the north wast of the Belmullet Peninsula. Climb is not at all difficult. Great views out to the small islands off the and up to Rossan Point in Donegal.
Bring a pair of walking shoes.

At just over three miles this is one of the most spectacular walks we've done. It is well way-marked, impossible to get lost. The views are wonderful in all directions - especially looking back to Carrowteige and the Stags of Broadhaven.

Try it - you won't be disappointed.
