We've just spent a lovely weekend in the Railway Cottages, Foxford Lodge, Mayo. There were six of us in our party.

The cottage was perfect for us - very warm, cosy and inviting. It had everything we could possibly have asked for - and more! We certainly didn't expect a rental cottage to have a microwave, coffee-maker and dishwasher.

Harry and Brigid were most welcoming and helpful. We have no hesitation in recommending the Railway Cottages to anybody who wants a break in the west of Ireland.

We stayed in the lodge itself and the rooms were spotless and comfortable with fresh towels every day!! It was very homely with a lovely sitting room with tea and coffee amenities available. The owners were very hospitable and nothing was too much trouble and we were met with a warm irish welcome. The breakfast was superb!!! and we will most definitely be back again!!

We enjoyed a brilliant relaxing weekend break at Foxford Lodge. Excellent hospitality provided by Harry and Bridget. First class breakfasts-the local smoked salmon was out of this world! Extremely clean and comfortable, homely and relaxing. Great craic with the karaoke machine. Would definately recommend.

My husband and I booked a long weekend at Foxford lodge for a getaway and had a great, relaxing time! We stayed at one of the furnished houses up the road from the lodge and really enjoyed it! It had everything you could possibly need and it was extremely clean and comfortable. Additionally, the owners were very friendly and helpful. They recommended many places to eat and some very nice pubs in the area. They also offered to arrange a cab for us if necessary. I cannot say enough about the hospitality we were shown during our visit. We would definitely go back! A must when in Foxford! They also have a nice hall next to the lodge that can be rented out for events.
