Owner description: The Foxford Woollen Mills guided tour offers a truly unique experience to visitors by giving them a background to the Mill, why it was set up in Foxford in 1892, the challenges that were faced and how they were overcome. The story of the Mills is a fascinating tale of one woman’s incredible determination and triumph over adversity against all the odds. The story will make you marvel at the journey this small town took, right up to the present day, where you can see the working mills still producing the best of Irish-made products. Throws, Blankets, Scarves & Accessories Baby Blankets and Rugs Furnishing Fabrics, all woven here. In our Restaurant we serve a selection of homemade lunch/dinner/salads/soups and deeserts. Also home made Jams, Chutneys, Salad Dressings, Brown Bread and Scones to eat in or take away.

A fairly good selection. Some rugs are good value if you buy a discontinued line or a second. Some nice wooly jumpers and hats. Good quality and priced accordingly. Great to buy local!
There is a coffee shop on the second floor which was welcoming
Very suitable for wheel chair users including a lift to 1st floor.

Beautiful factory store with a wide variety of clothing and home products by both Foxford and other producers. There is a seconds area with substantial discounts on items. The tour, while informative about the history of the area and the part the mill played, is a little long in the tooth and does not directly show any manufacturing of product.

Had to visit Foxford mills famous for its blankets and everybodys granny had one. The shop is lovely and the restaurant staff are very attentive and welcoming however we would have preferred if there was more memorabilia in the mill and more photos/momentos of time gone by.
