Loved our time here. Now as you may know Bundoran, like many old seaside resorts, can be a wee bit tacky, but this restaurant has a lovely modern decor with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the majesty of the Atlantic Ocean. At least half the tables are set alongside the spectacular view, with the rest of them also being able to see it. The staff were attentive and friendly. We had a table booked for 6.30pm and the early bird menu (25 euro) finished at this time but the kind staff said no problem we were just in time! Now when eating out I often feel guilty to see my 10 year old son eating chips an nuggets but this restaurant, as well as this standard children's fare, also had a roast of the day option for 10euro. So he had some tender beef, creamed potato and veg followed by ice cream which was good value because he ate it all. Note if choosing the chips and nuggets etc option the cost is I think round 5 or 6 euro.

I had garlic bread with cheese and salad to start followed by chicken which was succulent and then the trio of desserts cheesecake(don't like cheesecake but loved this!) apple pie and protifferoles followed by tea or coffee. My husband also enjoyed his beef dinner.
So for our delicious dinners the cost was 60 euro. Great dining experience.

Hi visited last week of May, food was tasty but portions were tiny, dinner for 2 with a bottle of Vino, no Dessert, the bill was €106. Attention Peak! Drop your prices and throw in a free Irish coffee for Crying Out Loud........

I've visited Bundoran on many an occasion, but rarely eat out in any of the restaurants. This was mainly down to some previous bad experiences.

We were convinced to go to the Peak for its early bird menu, which from what I can remember is 4 courses for €25.

On being shown to your table the main thing that hits you, and boy does it hit you, is the spectacular view from the massive windows out onto the bay. You could sit all day taking it in! Worthy of a visit for that alone.

For starters I went for the Blue Cheese and Leek soup which was far tastier than it sounds. I was expecting an overpowering flavour from the Blue Cheese, but was pleasently surprised at how good it was.

From memory I believe the main course options were Salmon in a creamy saffron sauce, chicken in a coconut and pepper sauce, Pork Belly, Joint of the Day and a vegetarian option. I went for the joint of the day which was Beef in a red wine jus. The jus was a real treat, but the beef just didn't match up to it. I'm not saying it wasn't good, but just not as good as the jus.

The others in the group really enjoyed their selections, which were the chicken and the salmon, although the salmon dish could've been hotter.

The dessert was a trio of mini desserts, cheescake, apple pie and profiterole.

All in, I would recommend anyone looking for a decent dinner in Bundoran to give The Peak a visit.
