I stayed at Tara for a few nights with my niece this sumer. Catherine O'Hara and her husband, Eammon, made our stay very comfortable - from the homemade scones and tea on arrival, to the soda bread and eggs from the chickens outside at breakfast, to the flask of tea to warm us on our daily trips. Catherine gave us privacy to relax by the peat fire in the evening, with the knowledge that they were available for advice and local knowledge when needed. Than you for a lovely few days.

There's so many great things about our stay at Tara Farmhouse, I don't know where to start...

Firstly Catherine made us a fabulous tray of tea, homemade scones and marmelade when we arrived, and made us feel at home straight away and this was a regular occurance during our stay!

The rooms were impeccably clean and fresh everyday, and as for the breakfasts - gorgeous! Catherine's homemade soda bread was immense, as was the variety of things you could have for brekkie!

The hospitality was amazing by the both of them; after a particularly hot day at the beach and a massively sunburnt arm in the morning, Catherine fetched me part of an Aloe Vera plant and gave it to me as the perfect after sun lotion. Catherine and Eamon definitely go the extra mile to make you feel at home and ensure your stay at the b & b is as good as it can be.

Out of all the b & b's we stayed in during our 12 nights (6 in total), Tara Farmhouse stood out from the crowd. Top marks for hospitality, breakfast, cleanliness, room size, views of Enniscrone and advice on your travels. It will definitely be our first choice as accommodation for the next time we visit Ireland!

A hearty welcome. A homely atmosphere. The homebaked bread, scones, sponges , home made jams were delicous and the fresh organic eggs (laid by the family's hens ) were just wonderful. the great hospitality and kindness,'nothing too much' made my holiday ,one I will have great memories of.

It's nice to see Catherine and Eamon are continuing their outstanding service to travelers. We showed up unexpected and were ushered in like old friends.
Our next trip to Ireland will absolutely include a stay with these exceptional people. Pat and Ken from Illinois

Three couples stayed with Catherine and Eamon on the night of Sept 7. We were greeted by them and enjoyed our visit over tea, coffee and baked goods. They were very helpful with information about the area...our stay with them most pleasant. I would highly reccomend this B&B during your trip to Ireland for its locations, cleanliness and excellent breakfast.
Their attention to detail is very visible.
