“Friendly staff, average food, could try harder for a 4****”
Reviewed 10 August 2010

We stayed Mon & Tue of early August. Staff are very friendly, the rooms are great, but the food is okay at best, average pub grub. Even in the restaurant it's not much better. Grubby food covered / stained walls beside the table in the restaurant was off putting. The cost of the set menu was pretty pricey for the quality of food as there is
Much better out there even in the town. Comfortable to stay in but not eat in. The only redemption on the food front was the breakfast but no trays and chaos ruled at times.

Overpriced but lovely rooms @ 320 euro for a double room on August bank holiday weekend, for two nights. I feel that the hotel hiked up the prices for this reason and the fact of the concerts in Lissadell. Prices are very reasonable any other time.

Took the boat package with B&B. I was a little apprehensive about putting two toddlers and two adults in a family room for 4 days and nights as my usual experience of said space is more like a broom cupboard. Got there and was greeted by a spanking hotel, large, airy reception, friendly staff and excellent spacious room. The food and service throughout our stay was second-to-none. With kids it's usually 'service with a snarl' but here the staff engaged with the two boys, making sure that they weren't left out and they couldn't do enough for us. The food was lovely, and by the end of the stay we had been given so much that i felt as if we might owe the hotel money. This is how it should be - offering value, service and quality to establish an effective memory that will draw us back and cause us to make recommendations. Thanks everyone at Diamond Coast !

We booked this hotel after seeing an ad in the paper, As usual we are always a little apprehensive when bringing 3 young children - but we need not have worried about anything. This is fantastically family friendly hotel. Lots of space, great sized rooms, kids club in the evening so parents can dine in peace, wonderful service, good food. There were big weddings being held on two of the days on which we stayed and the atmosphere was great . Lots to do in the surrounding area. Our stay included a boat trip on the Moy River and the kids loved this.. the beach is wonderful, there is a park and indoor water park and the little town of Enniscrone has everything that you would need by way of shops etc. All in all I would highly recommend this hotel. The only thing that let us down was the weather - but that's Ireland for ya!!!!

I was proud to be irish after I spent a couple of nights in this hotel. Although it didn't have spa facilities, the nearby spa and pool attractions more than compensated. The room that we got was a standard room I think but it exceeded expectation of most top hotels. It was very generous in space and facilities and very clean, new and luxurious. For internet connection, there is free WiFi in the reception lounge area. If you are into good food, the restaurant is about the best value in town. We checked out the local cuisine and we found ourselves coming back to this hotel for food. The staff were really nice and should be mentors to other hotels for their hospitality excellence. I don't understand how anyone could say anything negative about this hotel.
