King House is one of Boyle's top tourist attractions. I first went there in April and have been back several times since. A tour of the house features the King family (hence the name) as well as the building's military history. It was once a barracks for the Connaught Rangers who served with distinction in the Peninsular, Boer and First World wars. The house is also an art gallery with some wonderful works on display.
As well as this, there is a wonderful gift shop on site, selling craft and other souvenirs which is definitely worth a look. Then, if you're in search of refreshments, look no further than Aunty Bee's, a very nice tearoom which is also on site.
All in all, an excellent place to visit.
