Fantastic farm, great facilities, surroundings absolutely beautiful, For a day out with children and grannies, Very reasonably priced, free parking, café busy but lovely homebaking, Seems to be really well run with "happy looking" animals, Friendly helpful staff on a very busy day, Definitely fills a day, Am coming back for House Tour without children,

A lovely place to visit. I live locally and walk here almost every day all year round. In the early summer the meadows are a most amazing sight as they are left to grow naturally and the carpet of wild flowers is stunning in its beauty. The park keepers cut tracks through these meadows so you can wander far off the beaten track and get lost in a summer wonderland. In the evening you will almost certainly see rabbits and maybe a fox. There are also badgers and herons to be seen.
The house is worth a visit and so is the farm but many of the animals are on view from the walk around the back of the farm without any cost. The playground is great for the kids and is near the carpark and picnic area. You can visit by car or by bus from Swords (although the walk from the bus stop might be tiring for young children ). You can also visit by train and this is a better option because although the walk is about the same length it takes you through the woods and past the deer park which young children will find full of interest. All the paths are in excellent condition for prams or wheelchairs making this a very accessible visit to the great outdoors for those with impaired mobility.

what a place ! didn't visit house or farm but wha ! the grounds are truly magic. parked in the field park and off we went walking in glorious sunshine, towards the house and followed the railway walk signs till the end, then over a wee bridge on to a scene from a film, Open fields with tracks cut through them, making you feel like you were walking though the fields Amazing feeling, you can easily spend a day doing this it was BEAUTIFUL ! went back to our car and had the pinic, all for the cost of petrol and a few sandwiches, in these times a perfect choice, has a free play park for the kids and a warden on a bike, just to keep an eye on things, Great day will go again maybe visit house & farm. pps price on farm and house ONLY

We got there about 11 a.m. and it was spitting rain a little, it was well signposted and we went to playground first, it was very good and there was lots to play for young and older kids, toilets were very close also. We then went to picnic area which was very nice and there was lots of them. It started to rain a little more so we decided not to go to farm which is also here but the prices looks very good. There is also a tour of the house for adults. I want to go back.

Newbridge farm and gardens are based a few miles from my home in Swords and we visit regularly.Over the years we have visited a few other open farms around the country,Newgrange, Glendeer pet farm, Balykeenan pet farm Co.Carlow,Glenroe Co Wicklow,Grove Garden Kells,Tayto park, Dublin Zoo,Gosford in Northern Ireland plus others! When you have young children you can clock up a lot of sunday day trips! All of these places have their merits and demerits.

However,I have come to the conclusion that Newbridge pet farm is the best because it is reasonably priced as it is run by the local authority, there is not a huge emphasis on making a profit .There is a wide variety of animals and outside there is a fine free playground and green area for walking and picnics.

It is possible to find a few gripes (see other reviews!).For me, euro for euro it is the best and luckily right on my doorstep...
