My wife and I had dinner here to celebrate her birthday. We were both suprised by the quality of the food and service. For under €30 a head we had a meal worthy of a much dearer restaurant.

The restaurant is beautiful and very comfortable. The staff are very professional and attentive. We were staying close to Valentines day so the only option was a set menu for Valentines day. There were plenty of choices though. We opted to start with a charcuterie plate between the two of us, while it initially seemed small it worked out to be a good size to share as a starter. I had tuna topped with a deep fried prawn and Thai curry sauce with a potato fondant. These four elements didn't work together. The tuna was tough and over cooked, the sauce was stodgy. My partner had the lamb with apple and potato fritter which was minuscule and tough. It was accompanied by some rather dirty looking vegetables, some of which we found difficult to identify (I think they were char-grilled!) We both had chocolate fondant with vanilla ice-cream for dessert, which was nice although the ice-cream had ice crystals in it. We finished the meal with weak coffee and petit fours (which turned out to be two heart shaped chocolates!) Even though we had a prosecco Bellini apéritif included in the €37.50 set price (each) we felt that for the quality of the food we were served we did not get great value for money.
