Just back from spending a few days in this hotel and as ususal it was very good. Good comfortable room and with a seaview as requested. Breakfast was excellent as always with loads of choice tho not good for the waistline. My only complaint is about the hairdryer in the room. I found this very awkward to use especially when you have to keep your thumb on the button to keep the hairdryer working. Very painful if, like me you have arthritis in your thumbs. Maybe this could be looked at. I will bring my own next time! By the way where was Joey this time? We missed his happy smile in the mornings greeting us at breakfast time.

Room Tip: Request a room with seaview when you book. You may be lucky and get one.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your wonderful review of the hotel. We appreciate you taking the time to give such great feedback. We take your feedback on board regarding the hairdryers, they are hotel standard appliances and I am sorry you find them tricky to use with your arthritis.
Delighted to hear you got your sea view and you are right, please always ask as more often than not we can accommodate this request.
We will hopefully see you again very soon,
Kind Regards

Lovely hotel with very helpful, warm and friendly staff, this hotel does Ireland proud.

Particular highlights were the breakfast (probably put on about a stone in weight in my four days here) and the fact that you can order a drink from reception after the bar has closed.

Really accommodating staff, stayed here with work with some colleagues and we had to be in the centre of Dublin at 8am on a Sunday morning, so had to leave before breakfast opened - we mentioned this at reception the previous evening when booking a taxi and on Sunday morning were given a take-away breakfast of pastries (still warm) and coffee by the reception staff.

Good pool too - large enough to do laps in if that's your thing, and sauna, spa and steam room too, which were all quite spacious.

Would definitely recommend the Grand.

Stayed at the The Grand in June as a special gift to my husband from his family, the hotel lobby is spectacular and the executive room which we were eventually able to access was just okay, not what we expected. We had to wait from 3pm until 7pm for our room as the room was not ready on our arrival, we were given a half hearted apology and we're very disappointed in our stay.
The food was of an acceptable standard but the service was lacking in friendliness and charm .

We stayed at the Grand Hotel for our last night in Ireland. They were so sweet to us and upgraded our room for free. We had an amazing view! The room was large and clean with a wonderful big bathroom.

We loved our stay at the Grand. We had drinks in the small bar in the evening and breakfast overlooking the water the morning we flew out.

Great place to stay.

This coastal gem is located in Malahide, the lovely village with the least crime in Dublin City and county and of course the costliest real estate. This location lends itself to coastal walks, fashion boutiques, many eateries and some lively bars.A 25 minute Dart train ride takes you to Grafton Street.

It's an elegant hotel with more than polite staff. The bar is packed at the weekend. The leisure centre has a great pool/ jacuzzi area. The food both in the bar and in the restaurant is ample.

Some guests told me that they relocated from the city centre to here as it ticked all the boxes and they had spotted a few Stars who live here.
The more updated room with a view is what to go for. You won't be disappointed!

What a lovely review. Thank you so much for sending this through. Malahide is acclaimed for many things and the hotels locations couldn't be better appointed to taking them in.
It offers the ideal compromise between city and country with the added bonus of the frequent train service into the city for those who want to take a glimpse. The village is a hive of activity and there is indeed many a celebrities dwelling nearby in this affluent little town. We do hope you get the chance to visit again soon and thank you once again, your feedback makes us very proud.
Kind Regards
