“Fabulous Wedding Venue”
Reviewed 9 July 2014

We had our wedding here recently, and had the most amazing day. It really is a beautiful wedding venue, and we were lucky enough to have the weather on our side as well. We had our civil ceremony here also, in the conservatory, which was perfect. Because we were fortunate enough that the sun was splitting the stones, everyone was able to be out on the decking for the drinks reception which was fantastic. Our photographer took a lot of photos on the grounds, but we also went to other beautiful locations for photos which are very close by. All of our guests raved about all of the food, which was delicious. We had a few vegans, and they also said that each of the courses they received was more delicious than the last. The service on the day was very good. But the wedding coordinator, Mary, was especially good in the lead up to the wedding. Instead of a late bar, we were able to help ourselves (to prepaid drinks) from 1.30am onwards, and it was no problem for everyone to stay up in the late bar area as late as we wanted. All in all, no complaints, we had the best day ever, and would highly recommend Barnabrow as a wedding venue :)

I had the pleasure of holding my wedding reception at barnabrow recently. The staff were exceptionally helpful in the run up to the wedding and on the day itself. We were blessed with amazing weather and barnabrow looked amazing just what we wanted a private retreat in the beautiful rural setting of Cloyne surrounded by our closest friends and family. All our requests were met - assistance with set up, vegetarian and coeliac friendly food options and nut friendly dessert for my groom. The mail meal was exceptional the best wedding food people had ever tasted are the reports I heard from some guests. The bacon butties also went down a great for afters and were still being spoke about weeks later.

The only small thing that could be improved upon is sound in the conservatory during speeches, as some of the guests found it difficult to hear from the main reception room.

A lot of our guests stayed at the house and loved the rooms and of breakfastI wish I could get married again and I would certainly have it again at barnabrow highly recommended to any future brides and grooms. We got married in the local Star of the Sea church in Ballycotton and it was a magical combination.

Room Tip: Be mindful of some rooms in the coach house the are located near the late bar - these would not be a...

We were fortunate to be invited to dear friends daughters wedding and 5 day stay at this lovely location! It is located in the countryside amongst rolling green hills, the smell of clover and adorable westie pups along with some other well cared for farm animals that were a delight to visit with! The manor home, or reception area was something out of a young brides dream wedding! To have cottages for family and friends to stay and visit with and with the lovely grounds, made this a dream come true! The reception was Devine..food so tasty we needed to get some recipes from the chef whom gladly shared! The owner was a lovely woman whom walked around making sure all was well! Lovely touch! This made our trip so memorable, thank you all Barnabrow House!! A most memorable event!!

Room Tip: All cottages were well supplied with whatever you might need. If there is something you forgot...I a...

We stayed at the Barnabrow for my niece's wedding, we stayed in the cottages and by the day of the wedding we filled all of the cottages. They were spacious, clean, had everything we needed, each bedroom had their own bathroom. They also had a dishwasher, washer and dryer, which was great since we spent 5 days there! The wedding was perfect! Everyone is still talking about the food, trying to recreate the potato salad! The service was exceptional! The space was beautiful as well as the grounds outside!

Last week we had the wonderful opportunity to stay at the cottages at Barnabrow. We also had our daughters wedding there. The cottages were delightful and beautiful. We felt very relaxed and at home. The self serving accommodations worked extremely well for for us and our guests. The wedding was incredible from the beautiful country setting to the service and the incredible food. The whole experience was one to remember for a lifetime. Thank you to all of you at Barnabrow House that made our stay amazing.

Room Tip: The beds were extremely comfortable and the living area was very cozy. Having the dishwasher and lau...

This Sunday I was fortunate enough to be one of the first Sunday Lunch customers to avail of the new summer menu! Have meat or catch of your choice with a variation of 6 different salads brought to your table by the very friendly and witty staff. The staff informed us that a lot of the ingredients sourced for the meal were from Stuarts onsite garden!

A fantastic range of summer salads and a great way to start the summer... We were pleasantly surprised at how generous they were with food portions and 3 courses for €25 was just amazing value especially since the food we enjoyed had to be one of the best meals I've had in a long time!
Would highly recommend anyone to go and enjoy a beautiful day out!
I've been told by staff that booking is highly recommend.

Room Tip: If Its Sunny request eating on the decking as the views are amazing!

Visited Barnabrow recently for a wedding, very impressed by the location, food, attention to detail and helpfulness of the staff. Very easy to find from the main N25, plenty of secure parking for visitors. Food was beautifully presented and very tasty. Would definitely recommend!
