“Not only angels like whisky”
Reviewed 10 July 2014

A sunny morning at the old Midleton distillery.
A friendly guide told what we should know about the making of a good whisky. After a tour of approx. 1 hour some visitors could join a tasting session what showed the differences between the triple distilled Jameson, a American Whiskey an a double distilled scotch whisky.
Friendly staff in the visitor centre helped us by packing the presents

“Very Interesting and Authentic Tour”
Reviewed 9 July 2014

I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this tour. I'm not a whiskey drinker but nevertheless was fascinated by the process, the facilities, and the stories conveyed by our friendly and very knowledgeable guide. At the end of the tour, each guest received a free drink of Jameson (solo or with ginger ale) and eight lucky guests were selected to participate in a "taste test", comparing Irish, Scotch, and American whiskeys, all made with different processes.

They have a large gift shop with a good selection of items.

“Best Distillery Tour”
Reviewed 3 July 2014 via mobile

Did A Self Guided "Whiskey Trail" In Ireland And Northern Ireland And The Midleton Tour Was Definitely The Very Best. From The Film Explaining The Origins Of Whiskey To The Tour And The Tasting, The Overall Experience Was Awesome. If You Only Tour One Distillery On The Island, This One Should Be It.
