Great atmosphere- very friendly and great food. Music was excellent and everyone joined in the sing songs and individuals got up and also sang. This made for a very enjoyable night/s. Food was equally as good and service was excellent.

I visited the Dunes Pub with my wife and family. We ordered a pint of Guiness, a pint of shandy and two glasses of water. The order took something like 15 minutes to arrive!

Out food order of seafood chowder (very nice), and three rounds of sandwiches (over-priced) also took about 30 minutes to arrive.

There seemed to be no effort made to ensure we were happy with our meals, or to clear our tables once we were finished. It's not like the bar was particularly busy - we visited just after lunch on a cloudy Monday afternoon outside of the school holidays.

Given the price of this place the service was well below what we expected, and we will bring pack lunches the next time we visit the beach.

Be warned!

This pub and restaurant inside the beach resort Inchy Doney Island is not like your typical hotel food. The food is really delicious and it comes in huge portions. It seemed to be pretty expensive judging from the menu, but when the plates came it was clear that most of the cost was absorbed in the portions. Fish and chips could easily feed two if you weren't absolutely starving.

I had the sea asparagus which is just a side item. This restaurant really favors ginger so keep that in mind. The asparagus was perfectly cooked and maybe a little over seasoned, but it was lovely nonetheless.

Don't miss out! Staff was extremely helpful and courteous as well.

Have eaten here several times. Nice food, AMAZING location!! Hit The jackpot on most recent visit - surf and turf was delicious. Swapped the chips for a stirfry. Yummmmy!

I have to disagree with the other reviewer here, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was first class, was nicely presented and came in good time despite the bar being packed out. My only gripe would be it was a little on the pricey side.
All in all a positive experience.
