“A beautiful place to chill out.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 May 2014

This is one of the most picturesque locations available in the West Cork area. There is loads of parking, the nearby hotel is perfect for a coffee or a bite to eat, and recently the area on the headland has been developed with a lovely tiered seating area. Chill-out, relax, have a nice walk, surf, whatever you want, you can do it all there.

“Must see”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 May 2014

When you visit Clonakilty you really need to stop at the Beach. The views are stunning. I liked to sit up at St. Mary's Point and just listen to the waves while looking out over the Sea.

“Well worth the trip”

A beautiful place well off the main road. We had the weather for a bit of a splash in the surf and sandcastles. Will return.

“Not Busy”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 April 2014

We walked this beach at the end of the day, it is easy to find, park and walk down too. There are lots of rock pools to search out.

The beach was clean and the tide came it very quickly so be careful. The Inchydoney hotel is nearby for refreshments or Dunmore House Hotel over the bay.

“Beautiful spot”

We parked up our small camper van here in the car park and woke up to a beautiful sandy beach in the sun. Perfect.
