“Beautiful Scenery”
Reviewed 16 July 2014

I recently drove out here with friends, and while we didn't go down on to the beach, we sat up on the cliff overlooking the beach. The hotel's car park is a definite plus as there is a place to leave your car when visiting this scenic spot. We stayed enjoying the views from where we sat and saw a few people coming and going while we were there.

“Great beach for walking”
Reviewed 14 July 2014

When we arrived, the tide was just on the turn and the beach was huge and the sand nice and firm. The day was a little windy but not too cold and we were able to take a long walk along the beach. There was quite a lot of bird life about and that made the walk even more interesting.

We popped into the Dunes Bistro for a well earned lunch after our walk … excellent!

“Amazing place”
Reviewed 11 July 2014

If you want to see and feel a real beach this is definitely the spot - its a short distance outside the wonderful town of Clonakilty in West Cork, Ireland. Beach artists draw sand circles there and have a Facebook site . Go for a long walk and feel the Atlantic breeze and fresh air or stand on one of the promenades and watch the waves and sea , the waves and oftentimes the surfers. This is an amazing place and somewhere that once you have been you will return again and again …..it is week worth taking the little coastal road form Clonakilty. I have been coming here all my life and am now bringing my children from UK. Really spectacular. I have put 1-2 hours as a visiting time but you could spend all day . There is a large hotel by the beach so its possible to get food and drinks or bring a picnic.

“A sunny afternoon!”
Reviewed 8 July 2014

The roads out to here are a little narrow and windy at parts, but worth the hassle! Fantastic beach with beautiful scenery!
