Travelling around Ireland in the summer we called at Dunmore House for afternoon tea which was outstanding. Sitting outside gazing at the stunning views through a spotless glass windbreak was fabulous, the scones were delicious and waitress delightful.
After popping inside to use the loo and look around at the impressive collection of paintings I fell in love with this beautiful friendly family-run hotel and told my husband it was the special place I wanted to spend my big birthday.
So...we have just had three heavenly days eating the most gorgeous locally-sourced food , sleeping in a warm and comfortable room with a view to remember forever and all I can say is a very big thank you to Carol and her staff.. you are the best!!
How lovely to sit with a drink on squashy sofas or in front of the fire listening to the chatter of locals come in for a meal and the laughter of children playing because everyone feels at ease in this exceptional place.
We have travelled all round the world because that is our passion and places as well-run and spotless are hard to find... Dunmore House has it all.More
