Description: Max's Seafood Restaurant in Kinsale was established in 1978 and serves a wide array of carefully crafted seafood dishes by resident head chef and owner Olivier Queva. Early Bird menu available, daily specials, and the best array of fine wines and local cheese. Situated in the heart of Kinsale in West Cork and simply, a great place to eat!

We had a really memorable culinary experience recently in this restaurant. We were pleasantly welcomed and shown to our seats. We opted for the Early Bird menu which was superb. We had a Dining Experience which was second to none. Menu choice was fantastic, with many extra dishes being added to the Early Bird offering. I certainly found it hard to come to a decision about what to pick. Service here was impeccable and we were never rushed. Each course was a mouthwatering experience and we cannot wait to return. Best of luck to the owners, who deserve to do well.

We arrived without a reservation, pleasantly greeted and were given our choice of dining rooms in which to sit. Max's Wine Bar is very welcoming, with great ambience. Ordered the Soup du jour, Chicken Supreme with brown gravy on the side, served with broccoli and red cabbage. Dessert was vanilla ice cream with toasted almonds, raspberries and strawberries, and merengue, which was delicious. Not rushed whatsoever, had to ask for the check. I think this was one of my favorite places to eat in Kinsale.

Excellent dinner with a nice early set menu-loved the seafood chowder-a meal in itself! Great service and good drinks list

Literally one of the best meals we've had ever! Incredible, fresh seafood & a staff that is more than willing to help you decide or describe local fish. Obviously, amazing wine choices as well. A must in Kinsale!
