“relaxing and informative”

Kinsale Harbour Cruises
Reviewed 27 July 2014

It all started with brilliant weather, tried for 2pm sailing but full so got there early for the 3pm sailing. We set out with the sun shining we managed to get upstairs at the front of boat so lovely position. There was a taped commentary ( I think) It was not the Lovely Irish accent but the speed of is delivery that made it difficult to understand managed to catch some of it and what i understood was really interesting. On board was a mixture of nationalities so perhaps commentary could be slowed down a little to accommodate their need for information. A great trip thoroughly recommend but on a fine day get in the queue 15 mins before required sailing to ensure you get on at your first attempt.

Excellent one hour cruise around harbour, took in Charles Fort and idyllic coves and beaches. We had beautiful weather so sitting on top deck with informative commentary and hot sunshine was a great way to find out about the history of Kinsale as a port and garrison town in times gone by. Would recommend.

We love kinsale for starters. we were lucky enough to arrive on the hottest day on the week and it was so scenic. For €12 the boat trip was a bargain and although we queued in enough time the boat had to refuel and as the fuel truck arrived it split the queue and we lost are place. Even with this set back we still managed to get upstairs for the limited outside seating. We got some great views and enjoyed every bit. Only problem is that the tour runs only once a day at 2pm regardless which is a shame as it would be easier to catch.

We recently stayed in Kinsale and decided to take the harbor cruise. It was great! The staff were friendly, and the refreshments were great, with free coffee or tea and beer and wine available for purchase, and it was super affordable. It was such a nice way to spend an hour in the afternoon. I would recommend it to anyone staying in Kinsale. I only wish the harbor were bigger so the cruise could be longer!

Late April trip in the harbour; Best 12 Euros for value for money. Great day. If you're in Cork; go to Kinsale; if you're in Kinsale; go on the cruise.
