I have to agree with everything "ntnrrd" said about the hotel and Andrew the Host. It also was the biggest bathroom of 5 places we stayed in Ireland. I loved it. Great view of the water. I felt spoiled .Any questions or needs were met by Andrew. Felt like a "queen". I also thought they had the best breakfast in Ireland. I took a photo of the menu. Everything came from places nearby ie. the eggs, the honey and jelly. I would stay there again

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a water view and porch to sit out and enjoy the peaceful surroundings

Four friends spent three days in perryville house from 11 to 14th October and what a wonderful place to stay. I have no negative comments to make at all. The breakfasts were fantastic, the staff headed by Andrew, most friendly and helpful. In fact the whole experience from we arrived until we left was excellent! The bedrooms, very tastefully decorated and bed very comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. In fact every shop, restaurant, pub etc in kinsale should be proud of their staff as they went out of their way to please. This was our first visit to kinsale and we will certainly return to stay in perryville house! The coffee and craft shop to perryville house is also worth a visit. Delicious food and again lovely staff.

Everything at Perryville house was exceptionally nice. The house is loaded with flowers and beautiful antiques. Very much appreciate the attention to detail and quality. Located right in the middle of town with handy parking.

We stayed at the Perryville House one night during our stay in Kinsale and had such a nice time. Andrew was very pleasant and helpful with what to see in Kinsale. He made reservations for us at Fishy Fishy, which is one of the best restaurants to eat at if you enjoy seafood. After dinner we took the Kinsale Ghost Tour and although it was more entertaining than scary, we had a good time. Finished the evening at the Bkack Pig wine bar, also recommended by Andrew. If you like wine, they have over 100 bottles to choose from, and about 50 to choose from by the glass.

The hotel is right on the harbor and definitely within walking distance to everything in town. Charles Fort is just a short 3km away of the top of the hill and worth your time.

Breakfast is delicious - tea, coffee, juices and a lovely sideboard spread of poached plums, pineapple, grapefruit and orange slices, gingered rhubarb, Irish cheese, Irish brown bread, yogurts, cereals and the main star is Andrew's honeycomb. So fresh - comes from his bees that he keeps. Hot breakfast menu is scrambeled eggs, bacon or sausage, grilled tomatoes or cinnamon and sugar porridge. Everything is so fresh and locally sourced, they even have a picture of the hens that supply the eggs.

The rooms are spacious, with a small table, chairs, king bed, bathroom with separate shower and bathtub. Premium spa shampoos and body washes. Comfy white robes too.

I would recommend this hotel for anyone who wants a memorable stay in charming Kinsale.

Everything you want in a B&B, you will find here. Let's go through the checklist:

Staff - Andrew is in close competition to be THE best B&B host in Ireland, as you'll find with most people running B&Bs they genuinely care about how your travels have been and how they can make the most of your stop in their town; supporting Andrew is a friendly and attentive staff running the breakfast operation, which leads me to...
Food - they are very in to the farm to table movement, here you will get home made jam (heavenly), and the honey for your tea is from the spoon you drag through the honey comb on the buffet table that comes from the bee farm on site! Pourage, eggs, fresh bread, the works!
Room - has the quaint B&B feel, with a modern bathroom; only knock was the double bed was actually two twins pushed together; also no safe, but once you walk around town a bit you realize this is not a place on earth where a 'safe' is needed to feel safe
Location - right on the water, every shop and restaurant is within a 5 minute walk
Parking - on site, right across the street from the front door

A must in Kinsale, thanks to Andrew for a memorable experience!

This was the best hotel of our entire trip to Ireland! I cannot say enough about how wonderful this hotel was in personality, comfort and service. Quality is evident everywhere in this beautiful hotel from the perfect waterfront location where our spacious room afforded a spectacular view of the sunset and sunrise over the Kinsale harbour. We enjoyed the luxurious and inviting king size 4-poster bed, the plush complimentary robes, sparkling clean modern bathroom including a huge tub, nice hot shower and Gilchrist and Soames soaps. The outstanding breakfast was the best of our travels with homemade preserves, fresh fruit, and homemade bread including brown Irish soda bread, fresh honey comb, poached eggs, rashers of bacon, coffee and tea. The delicious breakfast and convenient parking is included in the price of your delightful room.
But it is the host: Andrew, who made this experience exceptional with his friendly welcome, down-to-earth manner, helpfulness and delightful Irish wit. It’s the first hotel we’ve stayed on our entire trip where the host automatically carried our luggage to our room. Andrew also provided several menus for our selection for dinner, and automatically secured a reservation once we made our choice. We chose Man Friday’s, where the service was also outstanding and friendly. Our belly’s full of melted brie, steak, meringue and a lovely chardonnay – we were too tired to take in the recommended entertainment too, and retired early for a nice quiet sleep. We were told that the fresh honey offered during breakfast was the result of Andrew’s bee keeping, and before we checked out at noon, we wanted to shop for some souvenirs for family at home. We were delighted by his recommendation of Boland’s Gifts which offered the variety and quality we were seeking. Again, I cannot say enough about how wonderful this hotel was in personality, comfort and service. I would happily stay there again!

Room Tip: Our room was on the water side with a view of the harbour.
