We stayed one night at the hotel. The location was very good, centrally located in Kinsale, but the hotel itself felt a little dated. No hair dryer in the room, so we were glad we had our own. The breakfast was fine. Parking near the hotel was an issue, but we managed to find street parking, which worked till 10:30 the following morning. Mostly suffers in comparison to the truly warm and friendly places we'd stayed at, but worked out as a one night stay.

Visit with family who visit regularly to dine at the hotel...great location in Kinsale near the sea front, managed to find parking space outside on what was a busy Sunday night.
We had made a reservation and had a very nice table in the section of the restaurant cleverly modelled to resemble the inside of a ships cabin...place has a good vibe coupled with friendly attentive service.
Excellent menu and opted for the fish & chips which was really good, crisp batter, fresh cod, chunky chips and a very good portion of mushy peas.
Finished off the meal with very good desserts and coffee...well recommended...

3 of us were having dinner on Wednesday nite in March. Atmosphere in restaurant was really nice, that time of year the town during a week was quiet but this place had live music on. I ve ordered a fish pie which was just ok ( to much mash potato) but the other two really enjoyed their dish (thai curry and fish). At the end my gourmet friend ordered french cognac liqueur for aperitif (which I ve never heard about before) and the waiting staff either, but she did very good job to find out if they have it or not...:)

Spent one night here on the 30th of April. Booked through booking.com but the hotel had not received the booking information. But thankfully the receptionist was great and got us a lovely room with no hassle.I would highly recommend the hotel, location is great and very comfortable. Great music in the bar and staff were fantastic. Plus it doesn't help that it is the centre of the charming Kinsale.

You can not beat the Fish and Chips + mushy peas.
top quality and reasonable! Family food just right.
The chips were cooked just right and the light batter was excellent.

We stayed in this lovely hotel in Kinsale for two nights recently. We were greeted by a very friendly receptionist . Her name was Madalene. We were upgraded to their best room as we were celebrating an Anniversary. We had a very lovely meal in the Blue Haven Bistro that night and was given a Port on the house! Breakfast was really very good with a great selection of both hot and cold food available. All together a lovely experience.

Just returned from a beautiful stay at the blue haven hotel.
We had a warm reception when booking in and this carried onto our meal in the Fishmarket restaurant later that night..
Looking forward to returning very soon.
