Both me and a close friend decided to call in for food due to the beautiful location on Sunday 2 weeks past. The bar was very busy but we recieved both gorgeous food (the pulled pork sandwich and risotto are highly recommended). The location was beautiful, but the gem of this location has to be the staff. I have eaten in a lot of restaurants and bars in Ireland, but the staff in the Trident are a credit to the hitel. My order was taken by a server named Mark who was a delight, telling us of what to do, but was paged away so our table was taken over by a blonde waitress called Jennifer. She left us laughing, with some great recommendations of what to see in the area. While the bar was very busy they made us feel welcome and valued. I would highly recommend anyone to visit this hotel. Staff are the hidden Gem here, I will definitely be revisiting!

2nd stay here in the last few months and again we could not fault it. The staff were very pleasant, room was very spacious, clean with an awesome view, just one small thing it could do with a touch of modernisation to make it complete. Breakfast was a treat and served with a smile. Close to all amenities and a good atmosphere about the hotel in general.

We stayed in Teident for Valentines weekend. I felt it was lacking in atmosphere. The bar was quiet and defiantly lacked something! It's probably a beautiful hotel to stay in during the summer as I'd say there is much more of a buzz about the place. I'm wasn't overly fond of the hotel design it's quite plain and isn't very cosy. Make sure you ask for a room with a view. Rooms were very hot at night and I couldn't get radiator off. The breakfast was fairly average. Overall it's alright...

Dear Lmg 1001,

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay with us in the Trident Hotel.

I am sorry that you didn't feel particularly comfortable during your stay and yes it was quiet for a Valentine's weekend. We unfortunately had a number of cancellations because of the weather which obviously took from the buzz! As the days are getting longer and the threat of storms has lifted we can already see increased bookings. People are willing to travel again. Having said that, even looking out at the harbour during some of the storms was amazing! Our location on the harbour is a plus summer or winter.

I hope you will return later in the year when Kinsale is buzzing again.

I carried my girlfriend away for a few days at the end of January i picked Kinsale as a nice get away, its our thing to do a short breaks and this hotel as good as any hotel we have stayed in including 5 stars. The staff were really nice and the room was amazing with a fabulous balcony onto the sea front. In short if your looking for a really relaxing and comfortable hotel the Trident is the spot set in a beautiful town with lovely places to eat. ill be definetly be back :)

Thank you for your very positive review of your recent stay with us in the Trident Hotel.

I am delighted that you enjoyed your time with us and made the best of the wonderful views from our rooms. I appreciate you kind comments about our great staff.

An easy stroll to the centre of Kinsale without being in the centre of the town is a great advantage.

Went to the hotel with my boyfriend over night didnt expect much when we arrived as the outside of the hotel didnt look great, well were we surprised it was amazing. Our room was beautiful and extremely clean the view from our bedroom was spectacular. Great location. The only fault i have with the hotel is the rude ladies on reception who all looked like they wanted to be anywhere but there and rude ! O and also the swimming facilities are in another sister hotel a few minutes walk away not ideal !

Dear Donna,

Thank you for your review of your recent stay with us in the Trident Hotel.

I am delighted that you were so impressed with your room and the views from the hotel. I am disappointed that you felt that you got a less than warm welcome to the hotel from our reception team, I apologize to you for that shortcoming.

The leisure facilities available free to our guests are in our sister hotel a pleasant 300m stroll along the harbour from the Trident and have recently been refurbished. .

I hope that we will see you here again and that you will have a more positive service experience.

stayed in the trident at the weekend, and its a lovely hotel to stay in. The reception is a bit lacking something, music, atmosphere, personality i cant put my finger on it - anyway the girl was lovely at the desk.

We booked a suite, well worth it, bed was huge and so comfortable, the bathroom was floor to ceiling marble massive shower & bath, was real luxury and the bathrobes :) stunning views over looking kinsale harbour.
We had dinner included, staff were very helpful and the food was devine, i had goats cheese and sea bass, he had the caeser salad & pork, the desserts OMG get the meringue nest yummm or as i had the mousse.
Breakfast was served with a smile and quick and was lovely also.
thank you guys had a great stay and would go back here again,

Room Tip: ensure you ask for a seaview room or pay that extra for the room with a view

This hotel is a beautiful mixture of modern and old with up to date rooms, all the facilities you expect from a hotel of this class but a cozy old bar with live Irish music. The staff have obviously been well trained, they are attentive without being intrusive. Kudos to their manager. The hotel is set right on the water, perfect for watching the sailing, even if the weather isn't perfect. I can't wait to go back!
