“Sophie's choice”
Reviewed 20 July 2013

We chose here for a special occasion and from the minute we arrived Sophie took care of our every need. The food, wine and the music supplied by Sophie ("music to watch girls by" album) made it a fantastic evening.I had booked ahead and chose the table inside the door on the left facing out onto the street. We cant wait to return and have recommended here to many which isn't something we do without knowing they would be in great hands. At your service D & T.

“Delicious spicy squid”
Reviewed 24 June 2013 via mobile

Evening out and enjoyed an excellent selection of tapas. Squid served in a spicey Portuguese sauce. People on tables close by also ordered the dish and we all agreed it was fantastic especially if you like a spicy kick to the palette. Also shared the dips board and smoked salmon pâté. Dips board good but pâté a little bland. Staff very friendly and service very good. Paced well but not rushed. Enjoyed a bottle of Albariño which was served just as we like it! Would definitely return when next in Kinsale. June Witcomb

“Great theme, good food”
Reviewed 12 June 2013

I popped in for a snack/dessert and had the deli board with a selection of cheese, smoked salmon, and caper berries and the sinfully good chocolate pot. Ambiance is wonderful with comfortable and fun seating. Service was excellent and friendly. I would definitely come again.

“2nd Best Tapas Bar Isn't Bad.”
Reviewed 26 May 2013

When did 2nd place lose its appeal? This tapas bar should be proud to have the honour.

The decor is spot on...dark ambience and comfortable settings. The wine list, however, is weak and many should not be on there as they are just above grocery shelf levels. Why not go for some rare bottles? The service was quick and friendly, however, knowledge on the wines was lacking here, particularly on the proper serving temperature of the Chenin Blanc.

Many of the tapas were excellent, but stay away from anything fried on the menu. I asked myself what does fried food have in common with a four year old Malbec? Not sure on who they are trying to appeal to with this.

A clear difference can be seen with a walk up the hill to the Black Pig.
