Mary is a wonderful hostess with intimate knowledge of Kinsale and Ireland. Breakfast was good, the craic was mighty! If you want a taste of Ireland with a gracious and knowledgable host, this is the place. Right in town, clean and well maintained, reasonable rates. We will visit over and over.

This was the only B & B that we were scheduled to stay in that we decided that it was uninhabitable. The sheets were old and stained, the glasses int he bathroom had not been cleaned. The rooms on the 3rd floor were not en suite, and the bathroom they shared was beyond dated.
The owner was rude and unwelcoming. All she cared about was getting back to her pub which she also owns.
I would sleep on a park bench before I stayed in the sea Gull House in Kinsale.

I would not recomend this bed and breakfast to my worst enemy. the rooms were dirty and appeared to not have been cleaned in a long time. the decor was old and ratty looking. id rather stay in a hostel than a place like that ever again.

The town of Kinsale is lovely. The owner, Mary, was friendly and prepared a good breakfast. As many others mentioned, we had to go to Mary's bar/tavern down the street to get the key. It was difficult to find parking. I was disappointed with the room, it was crowded and dated. When looking out our window, we were greeted with underwear on the clothesline, and a discarded toilet in the yard.

We were pretty disheartened to find most of the accomodations at 90euro and jumped at the 70euro offered here. We had a third floor walkup ,room #8 with a double + 2 single beds and bath. 2 good size windows with a not so bad view. The shower would be a challenge for an oversized person, otherwise pretty much ok. The place looks like grandma's house and Mrs. O'Neil is a hard working, no nonsense get things going type of person so she is not going to hang around and talk your head off. She and her son also run the Tap Room Pub and Ghost Tours.

My friends and I stayed one night here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Mary is about as friendly as is humanly possible.

We spent one night at The Seagull during a tour of Ireland. We only wish it could have been a longer visit. Mary is a great host and provided a perfect breakfast to start the day. The bed was comfortable and the shower nice and hot. Most of all, the pleasure of meeting Mary and having a pint at the Tap Tavern was like coming home. Kinsale was very interesting as was Charles Fort

I would highly recommend the experience.
