Visited for afternoon tea on a particularly busy day due to the influx of cruise ship visitors in town. Many items were already out if stock due to the extra visitors but that in itself wasn't a problem. There was a limited choice of cakes available; I opted for a slice of carrot cake which I was assured was "homemade" by the staff - sadly as soon as I took the first bite I knew (as a home baker myself) I knew it wasn't homemade as it tasted powdery, with some kind of artificial topping as opposed to the usual cream cheese & icing sugar mix on a proper homemade carrot cake - very disappointing.
Also, sadly of all the dozens of restaurants where I've eaten over the 4 weeks if my visit, service here was the least friendly too......& it is very expensive for what is offered / served.
