This B&B was fantastic - the best we stayed in during our 10-day Ireland adventure! Margo and Donny, the owners, were charming and effervescent. They were superb hosts, their home is spacious, modern and beautiful, and we would stay here again without a doubt.

The location on a hill overlooking the harbor and town offers free parking and stunning views. However, it's a bit of a walk to town so we chose to drive to attractions in Kinsale and surroundings.

The room was bright, clean, large, and well-decorated. The view from the double windows in our room was postcard-perfect. And the bathroom was stellar -- large, clean, well-appointed.

Breakfast was delicious both days -- we recommend the crepes! The full Irish breakfast is good as well, if you're hungry enough for that kind of thing. On our last morning there, when the owners learned we were rushing out to catch a flight, they very quickly made us crepes and got us on our way.

The price was on the higher end of what we paid for B&Bs, but we felt that it was well worth it. The overall quality of the experience was a cut above the rest. It didn't hurt that the sun finally came out in Kinsale, after a week of clouds, rain, fog, mist, and bone-chilling temperatures (this was in August, all over Ireland).

Note on Kinsale: weekend traffic is insane, so you may wish to leave your car at the B&B or parked in the free spaces along the harbour toward the Spaniard and Charles Fort. We found Thursday night in town to be low-key and relaxing, but by Friday afternoon, the weekend crowds were pouring in. Dermot Ryan's history walking tour was a lot of fun. Charles Fort is a must-visit (take the free guided tour) but the Kinsale Harbour Cruise is not worth the money.

A friendly, warm, and inviting atmosphere! Margo is an excellent cook and Donie kept busy entertaining us. The B and B is walking distant to the down town area. Lots of things to do in Kinsale. Thank you for an enjoyable stay. You have a wonderful home. John Rita Pat and Tom USA

Don't let the location dissuade you from staying here. Yes, it's a bit outside of the town, but Donie (rhymes with Tony) drove the 4 of us into town each night and we caught a cab back. You can easily drive yourself, but we wanted to enjoy the local pubs. The house is lovely and spacious. Donie and Margo are excellent and entertaining hosts, full of excellent recommendations and suggestions. They consistently asked for feedback on restaurants we visited in order to pass that information on to their next guests. Breakfast is plentiful and freshly prepared. Beds are comfy. Price is reasonable. THe bathrooms were the most spacious we had the entire time we were in Ireland.

Room Tip: Our friends had a palatial room over the breakfast area. Our room was the opposite end of the house...

My daughter and I arrived in Kinsale on 7/8 and stayed for 3 nights. The owners Margo and her husband Dody were so warm and welcoming. They both have a great sense of humor. They make this B & B the wonderful haven that it is and we could not have been happier. The food was outstanding, and I do believe that it is possible that Margo makes the best scones in all of Ireland.
Our room was lovely and most comfortable. Margo was most helpful in giving us advice on what to see and how to get there. Once again we found that it is the people who make your journey. Margo and Dody helped to make our journey a joy and we are forever greatful. Kinsale was a wonderful town.

We stayed at Landfall in June and really enjoyed our stay, our First B&B in Ireland. Donny and Margo are so welcoming and funny-a great double act. Breakfasts were good and the house spotless. Our bedroom was a gem with superb views over the bay and comfy chairs in which to sit and relax. Nothing too much trouble-clothes speedily dried when we got soaked. Would definitely stay again.

Although this B&B can be a little tricky to find its well worth the search. The house is spotless as well as the rooms. There is ample parking and the yard is beautiful and well manicured. We had a room with a river view and it was very nice. The bed was comfy and you couldn't hear your neighbors. The breakfast was very good and our hosts were amazing. Definitely stay here again.
