My husband and I and his family stayed at Woodlands House for two nights in September. We had two rooms, both with a double bed + a single bed. Rooms where very spacious, clean and comfortable. Coffee and tea in the room + free wifi. Bathroom was very clean and the shower was great, only minus was the small sink and the short faucets that made it almost impossible to wash one's face. Overall I would really recommend this B& B. The hosts were very nice, breakfast very good. There was a short walk into Kinsale town, but not more than 10 minutes I think, of course it's uphill on the way back, but that was no problem. Our rooms were on the ground floor, but I believe that if you are on the second floor facing the front you would have a beautiful view of the town and harbour. Kinsale itself was a lovely town with lots of nice restaurants and pubs.

Very nice b&b, 10 minute walk to the village (return walk is all uphill - elderly people may struggle)
Comfortable bedroom, good breakfast and plenty of parking.
All good - would definitely recommend to others.

Located just above the town with nice views over much of the town and down into the harbor, yet a short few minute walk right into the center of the old town with it's great selection of good resaurants. The ensuite rooms are very nice, clean and comfortable, as is the whole property really, from the really nice yard (with ample parking) though to the very pleasant common rooms. Great food, and good advice on where to eat and what to see. Highly reccomended.

Stayed here for one night in a double harbour view room. The room was a good size and the harbour whilst further than i had thought could be easily seen from upstairs. The wifi works brilliantly ( I'm writing this review) and there is a computer for guests use on the upstairs landing. The walk downhill into town took 11 minutes at a steady pace and 16 coming back. The main concern with the walk is the lack of footpaths in places and the road is narrow too so unlike many others we saw doing, i would suggest you walk on the right facing the oncoming traffic. It feels much safer this way. There was plenty of off street parking which was great as our poor little car is already carrying 2 dents, neither one our fault.

This B & B was the perfect introduction to Irish life for our family of 4. The room was ample with enough room for the kids to have their own beds. The beds were comfortable, the shower was lovely and Valerie allowed us to check into our room early after our 6am arrival into Dublin and 3 hour + drive to Kinsale. The breakfast and the coffee were great. I didn't see any afternoon tea or cookies, but we were probably out all day sight seeing. This house was very well kept. The hosts helped us with our travel plans. The wi-fi was very fast- the best we found in all of the B & Bs and hotels.
As others have mentioned the walk to town is not for the unhealthy. It is straight uphill, but a short walk.

We are a family of 5 (3 adult children). We had one room with two double beds and one room with a double and twin, so the children all got their own beds. The rooms were comfortable and very clean. The food was good. The location is an easy walk to Kinsale town center. It is uphill on the way back and a bit dark at night. We really enjoyed our stay.
