Reached the Blue Horizon after quite a drive, not sure what to expect. It was dark when we arrived and had no idea what to expect. Found a warm and friendly place With a great feel. Woke up to an amazing view of the bay, realizing this is so much more than a B&B!

We stayed one night during September 2013. We booked via the web, which was very efficient. Our upstairs room had a balcony and was a good size for two. Our only issue was that we had to drive to the next village for dinner, as the Blue Horizon was not open for night meals the night we stayed. The staff member on duty was very helpful in suggesting where to go though and we enjoyed a nice meal at the Spotted Door nearby.

Room Tip: A room with a balcony offers magnificent views of the ocean and the nearby fields.

My wife and I had a wonderful overnight stay at this lovely B&B. It is not often that I would score everything as excellent but, on this occasion, I have no hesitation. The room was lovely - clean and very comfortable, the staff were very helpful and friendly and the food was excellent. We met other people from America and Canada on the night we stayed and our hostess, Mary, ensured that the atmosphere was easy-going, friendly and a lot of fun.

I highly recommend this B&B to all and would certainly stay again.

We stayed here for one night durning the cork jazz festival, and to be honest we only booked it because kinsale was booked out. But what a nice surprise we got when we arrived, it really is a lovely little place. The owners are very welcoming and they have created a lovely warm and relaxing atmosphere about the place. The bar is lovely and there's a nice little smoking area outside. We arrived at night so didn't see the view till the next morning, and what a view it was! It's right beside the sea, gorgeous scenery. We had a great sleep here and the breakfast was lovely, it was great value for money too.
You would need a car to be staying here for a few days, it's not walking distance to any towns or anything and not a place to go if your going on a mad boozing weekend but that's half the beauty of it. Would definitely go again for a relaxing weekend away.

A truly delightful 2 night experience one we would highly recommend.
A long days driving led us to Blue Horizon. Our host Jimmy showed us to a beautiful spotless room with a view of the ocean, we arrived just as the sun was setting. We were asked if there was anything we would like and I suggested a glass of wine would be lovely as it was my birthday, a bottle arrived with compliments!

The breakfast was one of the best we enjoyed (we travelled for 10 weeks), as was this B and B.
Dinner at The Spotted Door a short drive away was again a highlight.

Tip: Make sure that you have clear directions to Old Head as Blue Horizon is not in Kinsale.

Mary and Jimmy were great hosts and we highly recommend this wonderful accommodation.

Room Tip: We had a corner room with beautiful views of the fields and ocean.
