“An Outstanding B&B”

Orla and Aileen do a wonderful job to make sure everything is perfect. Their rooms provide the best sleeping beds in Ireland with pillows that are worth taking home. Their breakfasts are wonderful and the service is outstanding. We truly enjoyed our two night stay and hope to return on our next trip to Ireland.

Room Tip: All their rooms are good. Plus that, you are close to everything in town.

Really. It was immaculate. The owners Orla and Alieen are a joy. They were very helpful with helping attack the town, find dining and music options. The bed was very comfortable. Our room faced the church, which was nice. If you plan on sleeping in, don't. The church bells have other ideas. The B&B is a short walk into town. Breakfast was several choices and the frenc toast was perfect. Would I stay here again. ABSOLUTELY.

Room Tip: No lift. Parking next door (church parking lot). Room #4 has a queen bed and faces the church. Pl...

My mother, her friend and I stayed in two rooms at The Cloisters in early May, 2013. We were thrilled to have 2 nights in Kinsale after driving throughout Ireland, and even more pleased when we discovered how comfortable their beds are! Seriously, the best beds in our two weeks of travel! Orla and Aileen were the most gracious of hosts, helping us with bags, restaurant choices, and directions upon leaving. Their home was beautifully decorated, and we were lucky enough to spend some time chatting over tea one rainy afternoon. Thanks so much Orla and Aileen for making my mother's last trip to Ireland a very memorable one! You have lifelong friends in Arizona!

We stayed at Cloisters on August 10, 2013 for our second visit to Kinsale. The B & B is maintained in immaculate condition, very clean, and the décor is adorable. Orla and Aileen were great hosts, sharing a wealth of information with us when we arrived yet providing us with our space during our stay.

We stayed in room 4 upstairs that was spacious and bright with large windows, a nice bathroom (great shower) and a great bed. The room faced the church which provided a beautiful view. It is a few blocks away from the center of town, so it’s close enough to walk everywhere. The cooked breakfast was delicious (we had smoked salmon & eggs) and they also offered a variety of breads, cereals, yogurt & fresh fruit.

We were most impressed with Orla & Aileen’s kindness during our stay. My husband fell while we were out walking through the town and sprained his ankle. When we returned to the B & B, I asked Orla for some ice in a bag and she actually provided me with a full icepack. In the morning as we were departing, she gave us two travel icepacks so my husband could continue to ice his ankle, which was very thoughtful and considerate.

During our prior visit, we stayed at a different B & B in the same location which was more expensive and not nearly as comfortable and welcoming. We would definitely stay at Cloisters again and highly recommend this B & B.

When we came into Kinsale, we were harried and tired and couldn't find a place to eat. Orla and Aileen gave us several recommendations and treated us like family. My, they both have the gift of hospitality! I don't say that often because many in the service industry do not have it but force it in order to accommodate their guests. These sweethearts do it naturally. The place was immaculate. I really don't know how they do it. The beds were SO much comfier than anything else upon which we slept in Ireland - even at Butler House. The decor was cheery but calming. They even got up 30 minutes earlier to make our breakfast because we had to be on a hiking trail by a certain time. I think it was our only B&B breakfast, since none of the other B&Bs were willing to do that - not that we expected it. And this may sound weird, but everything in the room smelled so fresh. It wasn't Febreze or anything fake. It was cleanliness. When we left the next morning, it was like leaving the house of cousins. Seriously.

We recently stayed 2 nights and had a wonderful experience. Orlando and Aileen were so welcoming and informative and the breakfasts were lovely. We loved Kinsale Cloisters was in a great location to walk everywhere. The walk to Charles Fort was great.

Easily the secound best B&B I have ever been to (close after the Snow-Goose-B&B in the Andirondacks - NY - USA). The hosts were really really nice and took great care of us. The room was super clean and cosy. The breakfast was delicious and really a lot. The B&B is directly located in the city centre but it's really easy to get a parking spot as there are 2 parking spaces right around the corner.
Kinsale itself is the most beautiful little town we have visited in Ireland and is absolutely worth the visit. Cork is not far away either (if u want to visit it ask for parking tips at breakfast ;))
Summing up we cann 100% recommend this B&B. GO THERE!
