If you happen to be in historic Kinsale, Ireland, the Cloisters Bed & Breakfast is the perfect place to stay. Mary and Aileen run the inn and are warm, welcoming, and very helpful. The breakfast selections are amazing, don't miss the salmon and scrambled eggs. The ladies were so kind and thoughtful, they even gave one of my traveling partners some medication to help her with stomach issues, and she was staying at another property.

I wish I could go back tomorrow!

Room Tip: The rooms are small, but well appointed with comfortable beds. The water pressure in the shower is w...

Orla and Aileen were wonderful hostesses. They steered us to the Folk House in Kinsale, where we enjoyed the music of Rubicon enough to buy a CD. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. Breakfast (the Full Irish) was delicious. Cloisters is conveniently located within walking distance of all the sights in Kinsale.

Room Tip: Our room was a double, but there was a single available, as well as a family suite. Each room had a...

Booked directly with B&B. Very easy process. Found out they opened early for us. We had the whole place to ourselves. Owners we very helpful with suggestions of things to do. Had the best night of music at the White House with Shane and friends. My wife is gluten-free and they were able to accommodate her for breakfast. Nice rooms and good breakfast. Kinsale was our favorite stop of our 3 weeks stay in Ireland. Cloisters location is within walking distance to everything. They were a little hard to find with our gps. The streets of Kinsale are narrow and hard to navigate. Make sure to review the directions that they give you if you book directly with them.

Cloisters is the BEST place to stay in Kinsale! Orla and Aileen were superb hosts and offered a wonderful experience at a reasonable price. Our room was spacious, clean, bright, and very comfortable. Upon our arrival, Orla took the time to give us detailed recommendations about where to eat, drink, walk, and where we could hear a traditional Irish music session. She marked all of these spots on a map for us to keep so we were well equipped to explore their little town. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options, whether you are looking for a hearty full Irish breakfast or some lighter fare. If my husband and I ever find ourselves back in Kinsale, this is definitely where we will stay. Highly recommended!

Cloisters B&B is a lovely place to stay. We were there in December, 2012, so it could have been cold and dank, but it was warm and welcoming.

The "bed:" The room was charming, warm and cozy, with a large bathroom and more storage than usual. The bed was very comfortable -- everything was perfect!

The "breakfast:" The breakfast was fabulous. I've stayed in a lot of B&Bs in Ireland and England, and this was the best breakfast ever! Many choices for a hot meal, all cooked to your taste, a long buffet of cereals and fruit, all delicious! I had scrambled eggs the first morning, and the second -- they were as good as my mother's! After the first breakfast, my companion decided she wanted to eat all her meals there (if only one could!).

Our hosts were helpful without being intrusive, friendly, courteous, and always went the extra mile to make our visit as lovely as possible. They gave us a map of the town and surrounding area, with lots of good recommendations. I can't say enough about how lovely this experience was -- the best B&B I have ever visited. My dream is to go back to Kinsale, and spend at least a couple weeks at the Cloisters . . . I'm saving up!

Room Tip: They are all good. They are on a quiet street, in a quiet town.

We visted Ireland for the first time in July 2013 and relied on Trip Advisor reviews to choose our accomodation. there is a reason Cloisters B & B is rated No 1 in Kinsale. Aileen and Orla were perfect hosts: friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The spotlessly clean room was comfortable and the B & B was an easy walk from the shops and restaurants. There was ample parking out the back - a bonus in busy Kinsale. Breakfast was absolutely delicious.

Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Even though we had Aileen's excellent directions, we still managed to get a little lost finding...
