“Quaint, Wonderful Treasure”
Reviewed 4 August 2014

This 5 room B&B is run like a fine Swiss clock! Its really clean, the bed & sheets comfortable. The room is large, in suite bathroom with plenty of hot water for shower, and lastly the room and breakfast room was decorated cleanly but tasteful style. The two hostesses run this by themselves, they prefer check ins between 4:00pm-6:00pm... however, if you need another time - email them so they can accommodate you!! The owner gave us several ideas for dinner and recommended the Ghost Tour! Breakfast was wonderful, they make your hot breakfast to order and there are 6 options on menu. We found the location to be quiet, a block away from the center town, and cozy. We just wish we had one more night to stay in Kinsale and Cloisters.

Room Tip: We were in #5 The only King Bed and it overlooks the street and church across the way. It was very q...

We stayed five nights at this bed and breakfast in Kinsale, Ireland. It was very modern with flat screen tv and WiFi. The rooms are small, but large enough and all ensuite. There was a fan in the room and it was needed because of the weather which was very warm. The owners are the most fantastic part of the stay in that they are really nice and helpful. Their breakfasts are terrific and fresh. We had other breakfasts at other b and b's in Ireland on this stay and they were nothing compared to Cloisters. In fact, we stayed one night at the Friars Lodge and its breakfast was no where near as good. The location is the center of the village.

Room Tip: All the rooms were fantastic. We checked them all!

We stayed at Cloisters B&B for 1 night in May 2014. We throughly enjoyed our stay which was perfect in every way. We cannot fault the 5* hospitality that Orla and Aileen delivered. We were greeted with a very warm welcome to Kinsale, and Orla and Aileen were very flexible with our arrival time. They told us everything we would ever need to know about Kinsale such as walks, restaurants, pubs etc. Our room was modern, cosy, and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was excellent we had a choice from a menu which was of a very good quality, and the service was attentive but in no way intrusive. I had the smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel and my boyfriend had the full Irish, there was so much choice including fresh fruit, and traditional Barn brack and Soda bread, and not forgetting a unlimited top up of fresh coffee. After check out, Orla and Aileen were so kind they allowed us to take a key and collect our luggage later that day. A very tiny criticism is that although Cloisters B&B is fairly central, we had a bit of difficulty finding it, so a few signs would be really helpful. I also think that for the service Orla and Aileen are giving they might be under charging slightly. I can honestly say Cloisters B&B is the best B&B and hotel I have ever visited. I have family in the area and on my next visit to Kinsale if I need a B&B I will be staying at Cloisters B&B.

The owners, Orla and Aileen, went above and beyond providing us with directions and recommendations before we arrived in Kinsale. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast had the most variety of choices in any B&B we have stayed at thus far. I highly recommend the Cloisters for a wonderful stay in Kinsale!

We stayed 2 nights at Cloisters and loved it. It is close to, but not smack in the center of the main activity of the town. Thus, it was a little bit quieter, but still a very quick walk to anywhere. Orla and Aileen were gracious and friendly hosts (and patient with our late arrival), and gave us great advice for dining and other activities. Breakfasts were sumptuous! Our room was small but comfortable and we slept well. Wifi worked well. Would definitely recommend Cloisters.

Thank you, Orla and Aileen! You were so gracious and helpful, you made our first two nights in Ireland such a joy. The room was beautiful and comfortable, the breakfasts delicious, and your recommendations for things to see and do were spot on. I highly recommend the Cloisters for a wonderful stay in Kinsale.

Room Tip: Our room slept our family of three perfectly. Quiet and good night's sleep.

The room was immaculate and spacious and beautiful. Orla and Eileen went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. They provided great tips on local entertainment and meals. They spent time calling to find us just the right b&b for the next 2 nights. I told so many travelors they should stay at Cloisters. ..it's our favorite place so far! Breakfast was wonderful and you couldn't want for anything!!
