Nice modern property, with spacious rooms. The bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean and well maintained. One of the highlights of the stay were the lovely breakfasts, which we enjoyed very much. Nice waiting staff in restaurant for early morning service. Lots of on site parking. Situated on the edge of town, so once the restaurant has finished evening service the only noise is generated by fellow residents.

I'm always nervous of bringing my young kids out for lunch as they are prone to wandering about and causing trouble but I need not have worried today. We really enjoyed our meal in the restaurant and clean plates from the kids too. A great welcome from all the staff and excellent value too. highly recommended.

the staff in this place couldnt do enough for us,from sorting the taxi to take us to paint balling & back,to sorting the disco boat cruise & bus to bring us to & from the boat, the house its self is a 10min walk to the town center, its a modern house & its very clean & tidy, the rooms are a wee bit small but they do the job, dinner & breaking were very nice & they have a very large lounge were you can chill out,im not one for staying in guest houses but ii was very impressed with Ciuin House

Booked this guest house
on trip advisor, ratings but cannot agree with the high rating. We had booked a double room and after first night we found that we were sleeping in two single beds pushed together. We arrived in the evening and after having dinner (delicious by the way) went up to our to discover it was freezing cold had to ring reception to get heating switched on. Told it was on timer and it only stayed on for an hour. Next evening was the same very cold in room and had to ask for heating to be switched on again. As it was September you can imagine it would be cold in morning and evening so heating should have been on. Cannot fault staff or food or location.

Thank you very much for your review. We appreciate any feedback that is given to us as it allows us address any issues that have arisen. It is lovely to hear that the staff, food and location could not be faulted. We are very lucky and proud of the excellent staff we have here as they really do go above and beyond for each and every guest. In relation to the feedback regarding the '2 single beds pushed together', Carrick on Shannon is the Hen & Stag Party Central at the weekends and our market for a Saturday night is mostly for groups of single people. To be able to accommodate this, which we do have to as it is the market, we need to be able to turn our rooms around as singles for the groups and doubles to accommodate couples. With this in mind we have the highest quality 3 foot single orthopedic beds which are clipped together with the official orthopedic clip designed for the bed which leaves it very very secure. The mattresses are also orthopedic and of an extremely high quality and they don;t have a dip in the middle, in fact, apart from the headboard it would be very difficult to notice that its not a 6ft king size bed. Most of our guests compliment us on how comfortable their nights sleep was. I hope you can appreciate that due to the market we need to accommodate here in Carrick, this is the best solution for us. The issue regarding the heating, this is a very tricky one. The particular weekend in question, it was (and still is) quite warm, particularly at night. I boosted the heat the first 2 times you requested it and on the 3rd request I did explain to you that 3 of the other rooms in the house were complaining of the heat, one room slept with the window open all night even after all the radiators had been adjusted. I'm sorry that you felt it was cold in the house as I have previously stated our guests comfort is most important and we have and will continue to make that our priority. It was a pleasure to have you stay with us and I hope this experience hasn't put you off coming to stay with us in the future.

I stayed in Ciuin house in March this year and cannot say enough nice things about this place! From the owner's chats/helpful advice and taxi-ringing services, to the comfiest beds I've ever stayed in in Ireland Ciuin House wins best bed-and-breakfast in the country hands down. It was like a swanky hotel but like a hotel you live in and feel totally at home in.
12 marks out of 10 go to the breakfast: cereal, an array of juices, yoghurt, fruit, muffins and croissants, toast, tea and coffee and this is all before your custom-designed fry arrives out!
I was there on a girls' weekend and will definitely go back. We were given run of the lounge/drinking area and provided with anything we wanted, whenever we wanted (more ice, multiple glasses for various drinks, shot glasses while we waited for the taxi). Had great chats with the extremely sound ow

Thank you very much for your great review. You seem to have stayed here before we took over in May this year, however, the breakfast and facilities are just as good. Glad you enjoyed it and hopefully you will come visit us again in the future.

My partner and I stayed here with our toddler and it was excellent. As per the description it is a luxury guesthouse. We were visiting family stayed for one night. It is spacious, modern, clean, comfortable and quiet. I was so impressed. Breakfast was included, simple but nice. Would suggest maybe a bigger selection on the continental breakfast but other than that would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Ring and ask if you have family that is, our baby was starting to crawl so the double guest room hav...

stayed at ciuin house for a stags party, i thought a stag party wouldnt last long in a hotel, but the staff were bloody brilliant, they had the craic with us the whole time, although we were loud and partying till 7/8 in the morning at times they put up with us for 2 nights, the food was beautiful and the beers went down sweet, thanks for the deadly weekend, delighted we chose to stay there.

Thank you for this positive review. Carrick on Shannon is the hen & stag party capital at the moment so Ciuin House is not so 'Ciuin' on some of our Saturday nights. With that in mind we can accommodate both the party goers and the non party goers and we will always let people know in advance if there is a large group booking, this is why Ciuin House works so well. It's great to hear that you had such a great weekend with us, it was a pleasure to have you stay with us and hopefully we will see you again in the future.
