Second visit to this beautiful hotel. The setting is superb but is a close second to the exceptionally friendly and efficient staff.
Rooms are enormous. Restaurant is excellent. Breakfast will keep you going to lunch. Great swimming pool.
So child friendly, Easter bunny visiting was a great touch.
Could find no negatives with Adare Manor and will be back.

I cannot say enough good things about Adare Manor. First off the place itself was exceptionally beautiful (the manor and the grounds). We spent a whole day on bikes we rented (at the hotel) and toured the grounds and it was so worth it. Defiantly plan on spending a day just exploring the place. We even had a picnic prepared by the hotel, which was lovely.

We stayed in the villas they were very nice and are perfect for groups. The American style kitchen is perfect if you want to stay in a cook for yourselves. It had very spacious rooms and bathrooms. Everything was clean , seemed brand new, and has everything you could possibly need including a washer and dryer which was a great amenity.

The staff was very professional and defiantly gave us 5 star treatment. Sid the food/bar manager was an absolute standout. He was so knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home. He does the whiskey/wine tastings and they are defiantly worth going to he. He knows so much about the subject and makes sure you have a great time while learning. He also made our dining experiences even better just by being friendly and making sure we had everything we could want or need.

The Oakroom restaurant is a MUST TRY. Hands down it was the best meal of my life! We did the 8 course tasting menu and it was outstanding, even food I usually don’t like I loved and ate every bite. The pork belly is the best thing I have ever eaten we even went back to get more another night.

The hotel is conveniently located to many attractions that you’ll want to check out. Including Adare village.

I will go back and really do recommend the manor it was fantastic!

Room Tip: The villas are perfect for groups!

We stayed at the Villas for 6 nights during late March. We traveled with another couple on a package from Sceptre Tours which included the Villa, a car, and direct flights to/from Dublin.

The Villas are essentially 2 story townhouses at one end of the property. They have 3 bedrooms, each with its own tiled bath and shower, a full kitchen, dining area, living room, sun room, and den. (It's big!) The kitchen made it easy to make our own breakfasts and save a little on food costs plus get a quick start to the day. We found the beds and accomodations in general to be very comfortable. A great place to stay as a base for day trips to various sites.

I had my laptop with me and had no problem getting a fast internet connection. It's wired only, but they will lend you an ethernet cable if you don't have your own.

Using Adare as a base for day trips has its pros and cons. You will do more driving due to the out and back nature of the trips vs going to a place and staying there at night. On the other hand you have no packing/unpacking to do and go "home" to a very nice place to stay each night. Also, the town of Adare is small but you have plenty of variety of pubs and restaurants plus 2 (small) supermarkets to obtain supplies from.

All in all, thumbs up!

Room Tip: Any of the Villa units should be fine!

What a beautiful place. We had a fantastic room in the old part of the Manor with what must have been 18 foot ceilings. It was magestic and the bathroom even had a fireplace. We looked out over the gardens which were lovely. It was very special with many touches like personalized cookies upon arrival and even a kid-sized robe and slippers for our 9 year old daughter. My only criticism would be the beds. They were the hardest of all of the 8 places we stayed on our trip around Ireland which was perplexing. Otherwise pure luxury!

We stayed at the Adare Manor House and it's Villas for a cousin's wedding in March of 2012. The Villas are wonderful but you really need a car to get back and forth from everything as they can be snotty about sending a shuttle (or rather, one particular person was). Do not count on having access to the internet. It is the slowest I have experienced since dial up. The kitchen is huge and modern, the bathrooms are comfortable and each room has an american outlet. There is no housekeeping, but there are enough amenities to make this totally worth it. The only thing missing for me was a robe.
The Manor House itself was great. We -spent one nigh and it was wonderful. This is a dream location for a wedding. Everything was impeccable.
Dining in the Manor was great as well. The service was above and beyond.
I strongly suggest setting up Falconry through the Manor, i9t totally made our trip.

We loved staying at Adare. Went to church there on Sunday and had tea at Manor, drove to Cliffs of Moher one day, took bus tour of Ring of Kerry, spent time in Adare and Limerick. Easy drive from Dublin...but be prepared for driving on left side of road. Beautiful people!!!

The building looks great. The restaurant was outstanding. The service was excellent.

And yet...I kept feeling like it was a bit like staying in Disneyworld--a bit in authentic. Maybe because the owners are Americans or because most of the employees were not from Ireland things felt a bit like a movie set. But it was a grand movie set to be sure.

Some other things, arguably trivial...
1)The 1 mile walk to the village of Adare was very pleasant, but it was on the road, not a separate foot path. Not a big deal because there was little traffic, but knowing that I and many of the hotel visitors were tourist, I never felt confident about which side of the road any particular driver might try. A walking path could have cut the distance by 1/3rd and gotten us away from the cars.
2)They advertised horseback riding on their website, but it was actually at another location a 15 minute drive away and required a 40Euro car ride. The hotel did organize it for us, but it had nothing to do with the hotel and certainly we weren't riding around the castle as the website photos suggest.
3)Adare is a nice village, but not spectacularly nicer than any of dozens of others we 'discovered' on our own and it's popularity with tourists made it very busy with traffic even though we were off season.
4)The beds were not up to luxury category with hard mattresses and rough blankets rather than duvets.

Just some nitpicks. I gave it 5 stars but still wanted to point out some issues for people trying to decide.
