We had read all the reviews and expected a great stay. Our room was fine but not as nice as the hotel we stayed in the previous 3 nights. Staff was professional but stuffy. Dinner was outrageously expensive and food was only average. If you really want the castle experience, just stay one night. Adare is a very small town and a good ride from many of the sites you'll want to visit. Expect to pay dearly for the experience. We would not return nor we would we recommend to friends.

My husband and I stayed at Adare Manor celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary. We wanted something special that you can't receive everywhere and we weren't disappointed. The property was beautiful, our room was in the Manor house and it was AMAZING! We had a view of both the river and golf couse and the front of the gardens since it was a corner room.
I would say the only negative comment I would have is that we had a reservation for dinner in the restaurant, (which we were highly recommended to do) we were the only people in the restuarant since they had a large tour group of 40 people that choose to eat intown that night. We ended up not staying and changing our clothes (dress attire required) to eat intown aswell since there was no atmosphere with a completely empty restuarant.
We did listen to the nightly entertainment which was wonderful downstairs in the Tack room. They played traditional Irish music that was great. We bought one of their CD's so we could listen to them once we returned home.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 406 which was amazing. Huge with incredible views over the river and golf course...

We booked our Ireland vacation through Groupon - Great Value Vacations and spent the week at an Adare Manor Villa, three bedrooms, four baths. The villa exceeded our expectations. The floors were wood and tile, each bathroom had a full shower, including the one on the first floor. The villa was well appointed with a modern kitchen, granite counter top and stainless steel appliances, laundry machines and each room had a flat screen television and the bedrooms had American outlets! We never heard any noise from either of the adjoining villas. The vacation package seemed too good to be true for the price but much to our delight Aer Lingus was wonderful, the car rental agency quick and easy to deal with (Dooley) and the villa accommodations superb. When we were concerned about one of the car tires looking a bit flat, Dooley immediately offered us another car that was brand new (1,000 miles). We had a lot of fun at the pubs in Adare, and loved both the Pat Collins and Sean Collins pubs. There are two grocery stores right in town and you can park by the gate on the estate grounds and then walk into town. If you are considering a trip to Ireland for a good price and this package is offered again, don't think twice about booking it. You will not be disappointed!

We just spent one two days and one night at Adare Manor but we should have stayed longer. The castle itself is very impressive with intricate details and an old world charm. The breakfast was fantastic as was afternoon tea, we did not have dinner on site but probably should have. The check in process was very easy and the staff was excellent, Gemma was very helpful. The grounds are magnificent and while I didn't play golf, I wish I had. The hotel is within walking distance to town. Room 420 was fantastic.

It was very lovely. Our room was so-so. I think we may have been in what were once the servants quarters. Still it was quaint, a little too "blue blood " for our taste. Quiet & somber elegance. Grounds were magnificent. The dinning was very nice. Food ok, service could have been better.

Room Tip: do not get a standard. Confirmation looked amazing

We didn't stay here but walked over several different times and explored the grounds. We entered through different ways, once through the actual gate with a guard, and once through a metal gate across from the Dunraven Arms Hotel that appeared to be left open. However, when we left one time, walked through the grounds and towards the town but realized we came to a dead end. Luckily there was a home within the grounds and someone was home that opened the gate for us. While I like walking, it was getting late and we needed to get back. So...be sure to check that however you come in, you go back out the same way. We checked out the hotel, staff were very friendly and helpful, the hardwood on the walls are gorgeous. There was a wedding taking place so we didn't want to upset anyone. The exterior grounds are so well taken care of. The labyrinth like garden area is a must see.
