Stayed at Adare one night. The estate is large with a well kept golf course and beautiful gardens to walk through. The staff was attentive and courteous. We booked a deluxe king that had a wonderful view but I think the furnishings are starting to wear. There is no lift at the hotel so beware if you have difficulty with stairs. We did not eat at the hotel after looking at the menu but did enjoy a wonderful meal in town ( an easy 10 minute walk or the staff will drive you in). Did not see the cottages but they may be a better value for your stay as you can easily enjoy the grounds and manor house.

I stayed in the Manor house on Saturday night. The grounds are beautiful but when we were taken to the room it did not have the wow factor. The room was very spacious but in serious need of a make over. The food in the Carriage house restaurant wasn't great. Starters were ok my friends meal was cold! Not good enough. And the breakfast was the worst I've ever tasted the scrambled egg was tasteless. I will not be back.

The grounds of this resort are really beautiful. We enjoyed walking around the grounds and down to the village. You definitely feel like you are stepping back in time when you walk into the lobby. It has a great feel.

The room itself was extremely spacious and well appointed. I will say though it is starting to show a little wear around the edges. Overall it was very comfortable and most importantly - clean!

Our package included dinner and this was our only disappointment. We thought that the food was well presented but the taste did not quite meet the presentation.

We would return to Adare Manor, but would try dinner at one of the locations in town.

Staying at Adare was the highlight of our three week trip to Ireland. We spent four days here. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly and from the moment we entered we felt pampered and welcome. I was surprised and pleased beyond words that the chef in The Oakroom Restaurant prepared a separate Vegan menu just for my mom and I and even more grateful for how wonderful everything tasted. The grounds are beautiful for walking or even just finding a bench and relaxing. We did not try the Golf Course but it looked impeccably kept. Instead we did the spa and found the individual rooms peaceful and treatments well executed and the products used lasting several days after we left. I highly recommend this place. We stayed in the main manor and did not have a chance to look at the inside of the villas though from the outside they looked charming.

Four of us stayed in the two-bedroom townhouse units. They were very nice, new, clean, spacious. There was a kitchen, living area, and laundry facilities. The mansion was a 5 minute walk away, and the golf course was adjacent. The Adare Manor has extensive and beautiful grounds and the golf course is especially beautiful with old trees and beautiful views.

We had a wonderful dinner in the mansion, with excellent service and food.

It is expensive to stay here, but the townhouse (for four people) was a much better value than the main mansion rooms.

It is a 15 minute or so walk into the village of Adare from the hotel.

Since 1985, I have had the privilege of escorting golf groups to England, Ireland and Scotland - traveling to Ireland on seven separate occasions. Adare was included on five of these visits.
This year's stay at Adare Manor included golf and our farewell banquet, and turned out to be the finest of any of our outings.

The charm of Adare Manor, excellent food and service of the friendly staff, coupled with the improvement of the Adare Golf Course and its facilities, since our first visit in 1995, has made Adare Manor one of my favorite destinations.
