We had *such* a wonderful time at the Adare Manor! This is truly one of those experiences that will be remembered for always. Situated in a sleepy little Irish village (Adare), this manor home has been beautifully restored--with many original pieces--into a fantastic hotel. We actually stayed at the very roomy and well-appointed villas on the grounds. And when I say roomy, we're talking 3 large bedrooms, each with their own bath, a family room, den, sunroom, gourmet kitchen (dishwasher), patio, washer and dryer, and downstairs bath. We were treated well by the hotel staff, found the grounds lovely, and the access to the village (a locked pedestrian gate encircles the estate) an added plus. Friends of ours said they even tried their hand at archery (provided on-grounds).
Wonderful resort. Treated our family wonderfully upon check-in. Cookies and milk for the kids, snacks for us in the room. Beautiful, spacious rooms, comfortable bedding. Restaurant (at the golf club) was great. Our kids (2 daughters) loved the Fairy Trail! Staff was fantastic, very friendly and helpful. Grounds were fantastic. Wish our stay was longer at this resort! Would go back in heartbeat.
In celebrating my wife's birthday, we were treated like royalty. From the greeting and manor tour from Richard, to the excellent restaurant service from Radu, to the goodbye from Derrick, our experience at Adare will be remembered fondly
We stayed in one of the Villas at Adare Manor for one week. Very spacious and well equipped. Really felt like a 'home away from home'. The villa was comfortable and clean. It also served as a great 'home base' as we travelled southwest/midwest Ireland for day trips. Would have given it five stars, but the only thing I would recommend is the villas could use a fresh coat of paint and the rugs a good cleaning. The local town, Adare, offered some great choices for dining - in particular, Aunty Lena's offered good food, service and prices. The local shops, however, closed promptly at 6 pm regardless of the amount of tourists/street traffic that wanted to continue to shop.
We travelled in Ireland as a family of five and based ourselves at Adare. The Manor Hotel was superb and met our requirements totally in a four bedroom town house. The facilities within the room were great, although a little sparse in the kitchen, but plenty of room to spread out. Also managed to find time to play a round of golf and the staff at the golf shop and of course at the restaurant at the golf course were great and very helpful. Would have no hesitation staying here again! It was so good, we delayed our departure on our final day as long as possible.
