What a wonderful, beautiful place. The grounds were breath taking. The falconry demonstration was awesome (especially the Harry Potter Owl). The service was wonderful. It was just a short walk into a beautiful little town. My only issue was it was a long drive to everywhere.

This review is in two parts - in summary though this is a lovely setting for a wedding and short break (with or without golf):
1. The main hotel and grounds are enthralling and we thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful weekend wedding celebration. The friendly and attentive service and ornate surroundings made it a very special and memorable. The food was delicious and be sure to indulge yourself with the afternoon tea. There is a less formal dining atmosphere in the golf club bar / restaurant however the high quality of food is consistent.
2. We stayed in a town house which worked well for us as it gave a lot of flexibility. The house was however very dark (the bulbs must be very low wattage!) and to be honest the overall decor was tired and dated (the combined impact was depressing). The absence of over mirror lights in the bathrooms was unusual. It was also surprising the towels were not changed during our 3 night stay! In this day and age it is unusual to have to pay for wifi - just as well so that the 3G signal was strong.

Room Tip: If you are a golfer looking for good value - try the original Adare Manor GC (a tight course requiring accuracy off the tee).

My family of 4 were guests July 21-27. The place is beautiful, including the grounds and the villas. We had a 3 bedroom, 4 bath villa and there was more than enough space. It was warm in Ireland and since they have no a/c, windows had to be opened evenings and they have no screens. We ultimately asked for and got some small fans.

Adare Manor is centrally located and easy to get to most places you would want to see in the southern part of the country, BUT expect to spend long days in the car. We generally left the villa by 9:00am and didnt return until almost 10:30pm and were exhausted by the end of the week. I have to say that we would not do a trip that way again. It may sound great to have a single base camp, but it means driving to and from all of your destinations and adds a few hours/day driving. If one understands that, then Adare Manor is clearly a great place to stay.

We recently spend two nights here and are looking forward to returning soon. The device is outstanding and the location and facility is beautiful. We ate at dinner at the Oak Room and had a wonderful meal. The only thing I'd change is our room location. It was too close to a very loud and long wedding that ran well into the night and on a very noisy corridor. The location tarnished what would have otherwise been a flawless stay

Tour of house was informative and included lots of interesting history. There are lots of beautiful views and gardens. Need plan time to enjoy walking around the site. The rock garden was a highlight for me.
