We booked a villa on the Adare Manor estate as part of a very reasonable package with Aer Lingus. The villa was comfortable, up-to-date and spacious enough for 6 of us (my wife, her parents, our two daughters and myself). We had 3 bedrooms, each with private bath, another room with a pull-out couch and bath plus large modern kitchen, dining area, living room and sun room. The Adare village is a short distance away and quite charming. We toured the beautiful manor house but never minded staying in our quiet, out of the way retreat. The kitchen was sufficiently well equipped for us to prepare breakfast every day. We did not eat at the manor, preferring less formal (but excellent) fare at the village pubs. The hotel staff were welcoming and always helpful.

We spent one night here during a two week trip around Ireland. It was a wonderful experience - the grounds are spectacular and the service was first rate. The castle has a very interesting historical significance and the town of Adare (very close by) is lovely and charming.

We stayed at one of the villas for 6 nights during our Ireland trip. As we have no interest in golf, it was centrally located for our day trips to Galway, Dingle, Ring of Kerry, etc...
We didnt avail ourselves of the dining options as we didnt find the prices to be reasonable, but we did have a great kitchen with all we needed for any meal. The washer/dryer allowed us to travel light and by simply wearing clothes twice, most of us could do a 9 day overseas trip with just a carry-on. Very hospitable folks at Adare Manor!

I love adare and all the beauty that goes with it. On our annual golf trip we choose adare as our destination. On arrival we decided to have some lunch before our golf. We had 5 sandwiches and two pots of tea for 88 euro. They were medicore at best. The golf was 75 euro. The course is amazing. The starter Barry is a fantastic guy. Nothing is a problem to him. The pro shop is well stocked. I spent 500 euro on golf gear. We then decided to have our meal in the restaurant. It took 2.30 mins to have our meal which is too long. The steaks were out of this world. But the heating was stuck on hot and we were all nearly roasted. Overall I loved it. People were so helpful and friendly. (Take note the k club).I doubt if there is a better par 5 in the world better than the 18th.
Well done adare.

I agree with other reviewers that Adare Manor is an elegant, beautiful property smack dab in the middle of great history. We stayed one night in one of the townhouses right next to the golf club. Great townhouse, plenty of room, quiet....but for 300 Euros one might expect free wifi....or at least not some cheesy outsourced website that requires entry of all personal data. Plus, only one device would work. Then breakfast....15 Euros for a modest buffet. We walked through the main manor and while elegant, the halls smelled faintly of must and mold...not to mention narrow hallways and stairs. In our bath was an unlabeled bottle of something....no way that's going on the body or hair. Looking for a pen....none to be found, even the Comfort Inn gives you a pen! The golf theme was vaguely reminiscent of Caddy Shack snobs...it could use a little Rodney. Not bad, but it could be so much better. Bring your own pen!

Room Tip: Get a townhouse...2 bedrooms, very nice, includes washer/dryer

Think Downton Abbey - now imagine you transform it to a five star hotel and you can stay in it. This is the Adare Manor - a place where seven generations of a family lived, where kings and queens came to visit, where a part of the Irish Constitution was made. This lovely place, in Southern Ireland, provides elegance with service - you will feel as if the butler is taking care of your every need.
We had an upgraded room, that had over 750 square feet, and a lovely view of the golf course.
In the hotel are a lovely dining room, two bars - and activitys from falconry to golf.
Speaking of golf- having golfed around Ireland this course was a lot of fun. Not difficult to the eye- with a lot of green, and yet enough of a challenge to keep it interesting.
Stay at this hotel- stay for a while- you will not regret it.

Room Tip: Upgrade to a larger room- you will really enjoy it.

You drive through a grand entrance gate at the edge of the charming little Adere town through a vast green estate and suddenly the catch a glimpse of the stunning Adere Manor. Its grandeur, style, and timeless charm will entice you and surprise you as long as you choose to stay there. I am not a golfer, but the golfing greens are impeccably maintained and must be a treat for those you can enjoy a game on them. Overall, Adere is an experience and you have to spend at least two nights (heavy on the pocket but really worth it) to really get a taste of what life would have been for its owners on this incredible property.

When you are at Adere, you will not want to spend too much time in your room. There's a lot to discover and experience on this vast property. Start with an old fashioned cocktail in the breathtaking pink lounge after you check in on a late afternoon. It will take you a few moments just to turn your head around and admire the fireplace mantel and the fineries in this room. Make sure your phone and camera are charged. You will not want to stop taking pictures! Check out the adjoining library. It's also a great place to enjoy your afternoon tea on slow day. Make sure you reserve your tea in advance.

After your first cocktail, continue your evening at the upbeat Carriage House bar and restaurant. We were a group of eight and we really enjoyed our meal and desserts. The service was excellent and the vibe was happy and full of energy.

Your next day could be for checking out the Cliffs of Moher (a full day trip) or just enjoying the castle. If you stay at the castle, start with a long walk through the property - the river, the grounds, the outskirts of the golfing greens. Have a heavy breakfast at the lovely Oak Room with a view of the gardens in the front of the castle. Take a nap, a bath, go for a swim in the lovely indoor pool, or pick up a book and read in the library. The afternoon should definitely be dedicated to the stylish tea service. You will want to spend 2-3 hours enjoying it. You can check out the town in the early evening and then return for a formal meal at the Oak Room followed by more drinks in the underground bar with great live music daily. Again, reservations are recommended for dinner. For the sporty types, there are other activities available at the castle including a swimming room and field games. The concierge and reception folks are very helpful. I also loved the vanity products in the room which are available for purchase at the hotel store and make great gifts.

Ireland is a beautiful country and Adere is the cherry on top!

Room Tip: The rooms are in two wings - the old and the new. All castle rooms are accessible through the main r...
