“50th Anniversary Lunch”
Reviewed 22 November 2011

My parents recently celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary and I visited the Woodlands House Hotel with an idea of a small family lunch to celebrate it. They took my idea and provided us with the most beautiful celebration we could wish for. We had a small room which suited our number perfectly, decorated beautifully, the food was absolutely to die for. The staff on the day were very patient (considering we had a number of elderly people in our group), very efficient and what I liked best about them, they chatted to the guests and were very good humoured. Once the function was booked I had nothing else to do but turn up on the day and enjoy the celebration - the Woodlands looked after everything for me. I would definitely recommend it for a function. Was home from the U.S. on vacation and decided for a 'girls' reunion sans the menfolk - to overnight at a hotel. Chose Fitzgeralds Woodlands house - what a perfect decision. I booked ever before leaving the U.S. They accommodated 6 of us by giving us adjoining room. The ladies were floored by every aspect of the hospitality - starting at Reception!!! They were like kids in a candy shop!!! The rooms were so, so comfortable. Had an absolutely terrific meal and totally enjoyed the atmosphere in the bar afterwards. It is now established that this is the 'new tradition' every time I come home!!! And one of my favorite parts.....the soap and shampoo dispensers in the bathroom. Hate all that being thrown out like you see in the U.S. hotels. So KUDOS to Fitzgeralds!!!

Room Tip: The area where the adjoining rooms are is almost 'secluded' and is very quiet and private...

Stayed in Fitzgerald Woodlands HOtel for a birthday week-end break, staff were lovely and friendly and the rooms were average but comfortable but the beds were wonderful, so soft and luxurious. We had a 5 course dinner and it simply could not be faulted. Adare itself was a lovely town to visit, beautiful old churches, a lovely park and beautiful river walk. Adare Manor is worth a visit, but the highlight of the visit was the old Creamery, it was like a winter wonderland with every chiristmas decoration you could imagine, santa coming down the chimney and the old style tea rooms was excellent. A lovely place to visit and as we left we both said it was someplace we would love to return to.

We chose this hotel for a conference held in early November, and we were not disappointed!

The hotel is easily accessible from both Limerick city and Cork, being just off the motorway near the picturesque village of Adare, and has more than adequate parking for conference attendees. It also offers a great value conference package which was tailored to our needs.

On the day of the conference, right from the set-up of the room (which has free Wi-Fi access) to the food that was served throughout the day which was of a very high standard - from the freshly baked scones at morning break to the beautifully prepared lunch, the staff were most polite and helpful, and they made us feel very much at home.

Having had many positive comments from attendees about the hotel, I would definitely consider this hotel for other conferences in the future.

Stayed here many times before moving to Limerick, never thought to review it. Ended up staying again of late due to a plumbing problem leaving my house un-liveable for a week.
I love this hotel. It is always so busy with Conferences / Weddings / Party Nights etc but as a buisness or leisure guest you are never aware of hoe busy it is unless you are in the function room! Noise is kept far from the bedrooms and nothing with room service is a problem!
Over the year, the Leisure centre has been added to by means of a Spa and Hair Salon with flexible opening hours. Nothing is a problem in this hotel.
food whether in the Brennan Room or Timmy Macs is always top class, and breakfast is relaxing also.
Definatly returning as soon as possible again.

Room Tip: Double Deluxe Room

Stayed just one night over the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our break. Had booked over the internet for a very cheap rate so were delighted to be given a gorgeous suite when checking in. We had been worried that the hotel would be very quiet on a Sunday night but we needn't have worried - it was buzzing from the moment we arrived but this didn't affect our stay in any way. We dined in Timmy Mac's where we both had early bird meals and paid extra for the steak option but this with a bottle of wine came to just seventy euro which was great value for the tasty meal we enjoyed.
Thoroughly enjoyed our night away and are now just looking for an excuse to go back as soon as we can !

Room Tip: The Castleroberts suite was one of the nicest hotel rooms we've stayed in.
