Reviewed 18 October 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Great place, a close drive to Adare (too far to walk) loads and loads of space, very friendly couple who own the place. Left some grub and supplies for us when we arrived which was a Nice touch. There was 10 of us and is was very spacious. Five bedrooms with huge comfy beds. They also left fresh flowers and there was 4 toilets. High recommend this place

“IF U CAN,T DO THE Castle, Then stay here.”
Reviewed 6 October 2014 for a stay in November 2012

A beautiful new acamodation around the curve from the Faningstown Castle just outside of Adair, Ireland. John & family are wonderful hosts. It can acmodate up to 10 guests very comfortably. Horse riding is on the property. Nothing is more fun than a walk down the country lane.Try & spend time with John & Angela, the owners, U can't find nicer people. They make U feel so good, that you really don't want to leave,

“Roomy and private”
Reviewed 22 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

We spent a week with our children and grandkids at this house. Beautiful and roomy home. Two rooms with attached baths and 3 with easy access. Kitchen had essentials to make meals when we wanted to eat in. A couple hours drive to Moher, Galway, Cashir, Dingle, and Kerry. I would plan to stay closer to Dublin for any days you wanted to spend there. Adare is a cute village and deserves a day of its own. WiFi is present but extremely slow. Don't plan on using it for much more than checking email. Plan to stock your own dish and laundry and bath soap.

“Luxurious House in Adare”
Reviewed 20 June 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We went to Adare to get married and stayed in Fanningstown house for a week prior. The house is beautiful and big, kitchen is very user friendly and the dining table is big enough for 10 or more , we had lots of visitors and had fun entertaining with tea & cake. Angela had left us bacon, eggs, white pudding & bread for breakfast next day. Very thoughtful. When we arrived John met us with the keys and showed us how to use heating, oven etc There was lots of wood to light a beautiful fire each evening. The bedrooms are large and can easily sleep 10. Adare village is about 8-10 minutes drive, it's good to have a car but if not call "adare taxis" and they will pick you up, if its for a large group (8-10) they will give you a number to call. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and I would certainly recommend this beautiful fanningstown house.

“Bucolic and beautiful”

We traveled with family members, 10 of us in all to Adare to attend a wedding reception in the town. we stayed at Angela and John Normoyle's wonderful home for 4 wonderful nights. The house is beautiful, well maintained and very well equipped. Any problem we encountered (operation of appliances, etc.) was immediately addressed by the owners. It was suitable for the size of our group and it was such a pleasure to wake up to witness the cows, grazing away. We are hoping that another event will present us with the opportunity to stay at Fanningstown House again. It was just delightful!

“A Grand Stay!”
Reviewed 12 August 2013 for a stay in July 2013

We arrived from the states for our two week stay at Fanningstown House on July 15, 2013. We came to Ireland for our daughter's wedding in Adare. The house is a short drive to Adare considered one of the most scenic villages in all of Ireland.

My husband and I couldn't have imagined a more charming and memorable stay than these two weeks at Fanningstown House. We concluded that had we not had this rental property our trip/wedding would not have been as fantastic.

We entertained with a pre-wedding luncheon for the bride and her bridesmaids in the huge kitchen. Our photographer enjoyed an unique photo shoot of the bride and bridesmaids using the gorgeous property as the background. We had a luncheon for friends, and an evening dinner party for nine family members in the lovely formal dinning room. The house offers so many possibilities for entertaining in a relaxed style.

This lovely comfortable country home is a must stay for anyone visiting the west of Ireland. Fanningstown House is in close proximity to many of Ireland's west coast attractions. (Dingle Peninsula, Cliffs of Moher, Galway, and Kinsale) There is also a fine pub just down the road.

The property is actually more beautiful than depicted in the photos on-line. It definitely has the WOW factor. The house is well-equipped and well-maintained with lovely flower gardens, an outdoor patio, and laundry facilities. The house is so large, there is plenty of living space for gatherings as well as alone time for those who seek quiet for reading or lounging. We love the fact that the home incorporates modern energy efficient living.

We awoke each morning delighted to be staying in this home away from home. The quiet country landscape was so beautiful. It was amazing how that early morning cup of coffee tasted so fabulous in the peaceful surroundings of Fanningstown House.

The owners, Angela and John, were very welcoming. They always had time for a conversation. Never intrusive, they were just a phone call away to assist us as their guests.

Family and friends who stopped by the house were awestruck by the beauty and spaciousness of the house as well as the "smart" decision we had made to enjoy the wedding and Ireland in the relaxing environment of a long term stay at Fanningstown House thus avoiding the ritual of the stressful moving/unpacking as you travel from one accommodation to the next over an extended period of time.

My husband and I highly recommend Fanningstown House to those looking to experience a lovely respite while doing some exploring of the west coast country of Ireland and meeting its gracious people. It was simply GRAND!
