I stayed with my husband and my two children in this apartment, it was on the Main Street which was convenient to shops and pubs. Plenty of nightlife the town was buzzing, only seasonal, then it gets very quiet so the locals say, Westport is 40miles from the town of Clifden and Galway is 50miles. The apartment was clean and spacious, you bring what you need and then you can cook when you want, I would advised to bring plenty of drinks and treats for the children, because it can be expensive. I found there was a musty smell in our bathroom due to dampness which was visible. The glasses in the kitchen were not clean, even when you washed them they still looked dirty. You had to climb stairs to get up to the apartment, but we were aware of this when booking.

We stayed in Tom Barry House for two nights end of August.
As family with 2 kids ( nearly 4 and 11) 2 bed executive apartment was a perfect choice.
Located at the main street. Very, very clean. Good size bedrooms, very comfortable and big beds. Well equipped kitchen. Felt like home!
Jennifer was very helpful.
There were few patches on the ceilings in need of painting, but we were told that this is already arranged to be fixed.
We will recommend this place to our friends.
