This B&B is 3 kms out of Clifden but is in a nice location that overlooks the water. The hosts are very nice and helped us with lots of good information. We stayed in a great room overlooking the water. Finally, the breakfast was great - some imaginative menu items as well as fresh fruit salad which is not found in many B&Bs. John runs fishing charters so there are some nice fish options. Highly recommended if you don't mind driving into town.

Just back from a two night stay in this wonderful B&B
What can I say ?ticked all the boxes .Sue is a fantastic host and gave freely of her time to answer all our questions as well as managing to run a great house. It is so peaceful here situated far from the madding crowds a real treat and I am lost for words about the breakfast!! Last time I got a breakfast like this was in a B&B in Santiago de compostela last year . Don't pass this gem by if you are in the cliften area Anna

Stayed here on Saturday night 12 July 2014, we were going to a pop-up restaurant (Dillisk) and Sue was so helpful in arranging a taxi for us, her husband had actually supplied fish to the restaurant too.
The bed was amazing but the breakfast was sensational, I had smoked fish with spinach and a poached egg with a lovely lemon sauce, truly superb. My girlfriend raved about her pancakes and maple syrup too.
Would definitely stay again if in or near Clifden.

Room Tip: Our room, no 3 had a nice view of the water.

The host couple was friendly and the breakfast was a true fishlover's dream with different kinds of fresh fish from their own boat. The entrance is also nicely decorated with everything related to fishing. The location is great for exploring the Connemara National Park.

We stayed here in the middle of May 2014,very clean, comfortable, lovely view, quiet and peaceful. The coupe running it were delightful, very nice couple. The breakfast spread was delicious and could not have been better. My daughter and husband were with us and they loved the place too. We hope to return to Ireland some day and the Sharamore House is on the top of our list for a place to stay.

We stayed at Sharamore House because we wanted something different. What we found was a home away from home. First, the view from our room, which overlooked the water was beautiful. The other window overlooked the pasture where horses and sheep were grazing. It was so peaceful. The breakfast was superb, pancakes, that tasted like my mother used to make. The host, Sue was so interesting, fun to talk to, asking us if we needed anything.
We were only there for one night, however John runs a fishing operation, which we would take advantage of when we go back. .

Very nice stay at this B&B.
Breakfast was good, the rooms were nice and the staff very friendly.
It is probably a very interesting place for fishers given the number of pictures they have in the house :-) We were 4 friends and could all stay there so the B and B has a good capacity. However I wouldn't advise to book there of you don't have a car as the location is a isolated.
