We were made to feel at home in a relaxed and warm environemt with the staff being family members and very helpful. We would be happy to stay here again and would have loved to have stayed longer, everything was 5 star rating

My family of five had just one night in Clifton at the Armagh. We had two beautiful rooms with views overlooking the bay. We all met in the lobby's cocktail lounge before dinner for a great chat about our day's travels in Connemara, and they took our order there and showed us to the restaurant upstairs when it was ready. The food was superb and the service excellent. My children all recognized what a lovely time we had for dinner, our best our whole trip. The included breakfast the next days was also wonderful.

This wonderful charming hotel with a magnificent sea view situated ideally nearby clifden is a must when visiting the Connemara area. On arriving we were welcomed warmly with homemade pastry and got all information needed for our short stay. Our very comfortable and quite room offered a view on a nice garden with rockery. The hotel is beautifully decorated and offers several living rooms, a great bar and an excellent restaurant. The Service was outstanding and we enjoyed chatting with our hosts.

We stayed in room 5&6 with a wheelchair person, and got great support from the family to access upstairs. We were allowed to have access through the kitchen as there is no lift availlable and we really enjoyed this unusuall possibility and helpfulness. The only tip we would like to give is: the rooms were clean with no evidence of mould, but it felt moisty and smelled mouldy in both rooms. Upgrading the rooms we stayed in would be needed over the coming years! Otherwise exellent place and brilliant teamwork from the hosts and staff! Would stay there again, preferable with bayview!
