We stayed in the suite and it was lovely! Very spaciousroom , absolutely beautiful view to see the sunset and the bed was very comfortable& big!! Rooms was quiet and very clean. It was the nicest place we stayed during our trip to Ireland. & only a few minute drive to shops and restaurants.

We had a wonderful stay in a lovely suite with everything provided including a wonderful sea view. The hotel is in beautiful surroundings and very peaceful. Breakfast and dinner were excellent and the staff provided very good service. Overall the whole experience was excellent, we would certainly recommend it and would love to return again in the future

The restaurant at this hotel is new to us, but it has been a fixture on the outskirts of Clifden for many years, run by the same family. We have now eaten there twice and each time it was delightful. The comfortable bar and lounge on the ground floor had a roaring fire - a welcome sight on a rainy evening in Connemara. We were promptly served pre-dinner drinks and menus, and were given plenty of time to make choices and select wines. When our table was ready, we were escorted upstairs to a dining room with wonderful view of the coast and the mountains. On our last visit, we all started with fresh crabmeat garnished with pink grapefruit. This was followed by monkfish on a bed of risotto for two, and delicious black sole for our friends. The fish was fresh, beautifully cooked and nicely presented, and was accompanied by home grown vegetables. This restaurant is now on our list of favorites. We are certainly going back again!

Had a lovely weekend staying Ardagh Hotel. Hard to believe it only has 3stars. It is rare you can find such a nice place that allows dogs. Staff were very helpful in suggesting places to go. I am looking forward to going back again already.

Spacious, comfortable, clean, modern room with wonderful view. Hotel has ample parking and is five minute drive to town. Lots of cozy public spaces. Owner and staff very helpful. Restaurant was exceptional, especially the home-grown veggies. Bruce, the hotel dog, has the run of the place and is super friendly. Only criticism is that the WiFi was spotty. But would still highly recommend.
