Stayed here on the 10th of aug for 3 nights with mum and 8yrsold son. Loved the place so much I decided to go back out the following week with hubby and son again and stayed for another 6 nights. I really reckon with this hotel that if there is bigger our better rooms avalable the girls in reception/reservations will sell them to you. ( So book early as I did and I got a really beautiful room.) Especially for the price I was paying it made it all the more sweet. I was so chuffed !
The staff were so helpfull and incredibly professional, our room was amazing, big, bright and really clean. (no flat screen tv tho) Cleaned everyday to the highest standard.
The b'fast was just to die for, so well presented and my son was in his element as he would never get coco-pops or pancakes at home for B'fast !! Thanks to Christina.
A really strong a la carte menu in the evening which was always consistently good. Whatever chef did the noodle dish it was always wonderful.
The kiddies club was so professionally run by Edel, my son just loved every minute of it.
In the evening we had Barry to entertain us who sang and played the piano so wonderfully and let us sing our hearts out. We had a ball. Still hoarse tho !!
We all really loved this place, Dont pass it out !!
Have already booked to go back out again in October.

The station house lived up to my expectations on a recent visit - it is a reasonable hotel with some downsides. We found the staff very friendly and efficient. The food was of reasonable quality but not could be regarded as expensive (though Clifden tends to be expensive for food in any case). The hotel can be noisy if there is a function downstairs and parking is a nightmare with limited numbers of spaces available near the hotel. Would I recommend it? maybe!

Nice hotel. Staff were excellent. Well trained in how to deal with people professionally. Out of 4 hotels we stayed in, in a row the staff here were the nicest and they even smiled!

The chef making the pancakes certainly knew how to charm the customers. She certainly has the gift of the gab.

Rooms were a bit small and probably need a bit of a re-paint at this stage. Nice and clean and nice decor.

Bars and shops and facilities in the complex were excellent.

Stayed here for a family occasion - staff couldn't do enough for us and were endlessly patient with our random requests and in helping to make it an incredibly special weekend. Very child friendly and excellent location. Really hope to go back again to spend a bit more time.

The hotel is friendly and family orientated. The staff are efficient and genuinely helpful
to adults and kids alike.Breakfasts are brilliant and will keep you topped up till well into
the afternoon. The rooms are clean and comfortable but a little too warm at night.Maybe in winter its cooler. The gym/pool area is clean and well equiped.
All and all we had a great stay and will definitely return in the future.
Its a warm sociable hotel led by the busy Wilson who keeps the whole operation flowing
with a cheery professionalism.Top marks to all......Ciaran Gormley,Cooley Co. Louth.

Stayed 3 nights in station house hotel, based on 3 NBB 2D, full use of leisure facilities and kids club.
The staff were so professional, efficient, friendly. The y were really organised and the restaurant just flowed. The food was out of this world, absolutely devine. There was lovely piano in the lounge/reception area at night, very relaxing. excellent stay and excellent value for money. Kids meals were good value as they were healthy option ie. fish and chips. fishfingers were home made.

Only thing which I wouldnt call a negative was noticed some builders using hotel drive through to get access to other road. Driving hard by hotel front with OAP and young children, but there is pedestrain crossing so is up to drivers to adhere to same.
very little noise on corridors.

overall EXCELLENT

Stayed here recently with 3 children. Excellent hotel with very friendly & helpful staff. The hotel has a great range of activties on offer for both children and adults alike such as a very nice leisure centre, the station house theatre (the magic show was a big hit with my children!!) & they also have a kids club. There is something for all the family regardless of the weather. We will be back. Ps the hotel also has self catering apartments - another great idea for families!
