“Confusing”
Reviewed 26 August 2014

Being an aircraft buff I had to see where A&B landed. It's a slight walk from the Marconi Station to the white mound, but then you discover that they actually landed 500 metres away. Maybe it's too boggy to put up a marker, but at least you can get an idea of the terrain that they had to land on. It's a good place to explore alongside the foundations of the Marconi Station and you can tell that not many people visit. The signpost at the turning off the main road can easily be missed!

“Worth A Walk Out To”
Reviewed 12 August 2014

We were unsure were we making a mistake as it's not very clear where it is. You really need o park up and walk out on the bog road until you eventually see this white cone structure in an elevated position. A trip up to the memorial accross the road and up the hill about a mile or so is worth it just for the view. Also a trip to the Museum at the Station House I feel brings the story to life and illustrates just how much of an achievement the flight was.

“Out in the Wilderness a great find”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

Shame that this was not in any promotional material available , again it was only through personal knowledge that we found the site. Not sign posted very well and obviously on private property. Glad we persevered.
