A very enjoyable stay in a clean and nicely furnished house. I noticed some of the other houses in the estate seemed run down and not maintained, 72 was cosy, bright, clean and had a homely feel.
Low points, some net curtains needed for downstairs bedroom, no gas in the BBQ and limited to 3 TV channels.
All in all, superb value for money and will return next year.

“Lovely comfortable holiday home in a great location”

House was lovely and clean with all the essentials provided. Things to be aware of are no dishwasher and there are two electric showers that cannot be used simultaneously but these things caused no issue for us. Lovely deck at back of house with picnic bench with direct view to tennis court and playground so great for kids to have a run around. Also great facilities on site were the crazy golf, large green area, clubhouse(open from 7pm) and lovely surroundings for hiking. Only one mile from Clifden where there is an Aldi, Lidl and Super Valu so plenty to choose from. Also great pubs and restaurants to cater for all tastes. The local Station House Hotel has a leisure centre with pool and a theatre/cinema great to know you can book for use of these especally if weather is bad. Connemara itself is beautiful. Loads to see and do. The Natonal Park is a must see as is Kylemore Abbey but there are also so many quant villages, beautiful beaches, castles, islands etc to see and explore that we hope to go back and book same house! Was great value as well. Had a lovely two weeks.

Liked best: Being able to let kids play tennis and go to playground and see them from the back of house and the location.
Liked least: Would have liked the rain to have stayed away more! But no cabin fever was had with dvds (dvd player provided in house) books to read and board games to play we enjoyed family time together.

“Vastly disappointing”

We stayed in 72 Clifden Glen for a week in July 2012. While the location and outdoor facilities were very good, we were extremely disappointed with the condition of the house itself. The problems we encountered ranged from a multitude of minor issues such as no TV reception, being unable to use both showers simultaneously, doors that wouldn’t close etc. to a few major safety issues such as unsafe electrics and water running down the bedroom wall during heavy rain. When we tried to get problems rectified, neither the site manager nor the booking company would take responsibility. The owner of the house was completely un-interested in dealing with our complaint and was rudely dismissive of us in her correspondence with the booking company. We would highly recommend finding somewhere else to stay other than 72 Clifden Glen.
